CovCath vs Newport Central Catholic
Curious to see if NCC will play the Colonels better now that the huge expectations are in the past. Even though CovCath has won the last two regional championships, I considered NewCath the favorite each time they played.

Holmes at Holy Cross Predictions
Barnes averages 3 points a game. I'm not sure if that makes him a differences maker with his scoring. His rebounding, however, could play a major role in the game.

Lloyd Memorial 71 Boone County 34
Boone was solid last year, graduated a lot. It happens. They will get a W today against the Austrailian team, or Thursday against Ludlow. They do not need to play Cov Latin to get a win. They are down this year, but judging them on this season while ignoring all their previous years of success (even just last year) to say the program is "sad" is not necessary.

All "A" State Brackets Released
They (NewCath/Holy Cross winner) would most likely play Lexington Christian in the first round, correct?

Increase in individual scoring
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like more and more players are scoring in the high 30s, 40s, and 50s. What can we attribute these amazing performances to? Is it because the refs are calling more hand checks, amazing individual talent, teams depending on one player to score, or something else?

Conner 60 St. Henry 56
St. Henry is a two man show right now. They are going to struggle until they can find a consistent 3rd scorer. Williams could very well be that guy.

Bishop Brossart 64 Newport 54
Newport is missing one of their starting guards, Rico Hollis, to an ankle problem, correct? Nice win for the Mustangs. Two solid victories to start the year.

Cincinnati St. Xavier @ Louisville St. Xavier
This game should be very interesting. Both programs in what most would consider down years, but it will be competitive and physical. I like Cincy St. X by 10.

6A Playoff Projections
I think it's Male's year. I just don't see anyone stopping them this year unless Trinity can force turnovers.

Scrimmages
There are usually a bunch of games on a Saturday out at Simon Kenton. Any idea whose playing and the date/times?

20 Years of 9th Region Basketball
Couldn't you make the same point about every player? Your Holmes guys for example: Bolden played in a region where no one was as quick as him. Ricardo Johnson played in a region in which he was the only 6'4 guard.

5A #1 Highlands @ Cooper Predictions
I think it's a 7 point game at half, but Highlands takes control in 2nd half. Birds too deep and talented in NKY

20 Years of 9th Region Basketball
I think Tony Campbell from Holy Cross deserves a mention. Defensively, he blocked or disrupted virtually all shots around the rim. Offensively, he had great touch around the rim with solid range. Not a great athlete, but he was so big and long that he put up multiple triple doubles his senior year.

June Basketball
Summer basketball is a great time to develop younger players and get a read on the best style to play on the upcoming season. Many players are there one game, gone the next so its hard to get a true feel on teams. Not to mention coaches will be fostering skill development as the season progresses. That doesn't mean I won't have fun over reacting to June basketball game results!

Beechwood 6 Newport Central Catholic 5 (JV)
Bright future for the Tigers

Indiana All-Stars 114 Kentucky All-Stars 60
Once again, why the secret? Do we really have to play the guessing game? Spill the beans!

Texas Tech offers Lafayette star
It seems like as soon as one school offers, the rest start coming soon after. Almost like coaches are afraid to take the first step unless they know other coaches around the same program level are also interested.

Finally.....thank you Clyde

So why don't you tell us instead of playing the guessing game?

Newport Central Catholic 4 Bellevue 0 (36th district semi final)
Sounds like a great game. With a couple breaks going their way, NCC can make a deep run in the regionals in my opinion.

Football Playoffs Survey
Here is the bottom line: Money. Even if a top seed such as Trinity, plays the four seed (Little Sisters of the Poor) in round one, they will still make money! In the end, thats all that matters, good or bad.

Ryle's new coach search
I'm going to go ahead and put a name to the man you are discribing. If I am wrong, please correct me: Buddy Pittman

JV Championship- Beechwood vs. Ryle Predictions
Just curious, and not that there is anything wrong with it, but how many juniors start for each of these teams JV? Just trying to get a feel on how young is team is.

St Henry Hires "The Fish" To Be Head Coach
Good luck Fish. I also agree that his wife could be a great addition to the staff!
