  1. Spaulding played very little with the Travelers. Didn't go to Sacramento due to ankle injury, played in Dallas, and only played 2 games in Hampton due to turned ankle. He did not go to MN evidently because he quit. Really didn't play enough with them to have a legitimate complaint.
  2. I used to go to the camps at Transy and felt like they were beneficial however the last time I sent a kid to camp at Transy one of the "coaches" told me that one of his friends had asked him that morning if he wanted to work the camp and since he didn't have any plans he did it . He admitted that he didn't even play high school ball. I agree that you would get more bang for your buck getting someone like Mike Scott to work with your kid either individually or in a small group.
  3. Where did he spend last year?
  4. If you are debating posting it or not, then you probably shouldn't. Hope he is ok.
  5. I have always suspected that the lack of fouls called in AAU vs school ball is due to the fact that many games are crammed into a short amount of time on numerous courts and if one game runs long it throws a major kink in the whole day. You have teams waiting to play, teams who may need to load up in a van and get to another venue for their next game, having to hold up games waiting on refs who were officiating the game that went long etc..
  6. Why does Hicks encourage players to not try out?
  7. The sophomore (Carson Williams) on the invite list was a mistake. Someone thought he was a junior, maybe next year.
  8. Owen Co always has a good crowd at big games and while they do have homework the teachers in the the district would NEVER assign much on a night when they were in the regional finals.
  9. No. Simon will play South Oldham tomorrow night for championship.
  10. That's Carson Williams at Owen. Big brother Sawyer is now playing for Carson Newman University.
  11. Tonight at 8:00 due to weather forecast.
  12. One of Owen's players had enough of it and gently put his hands on the boy to try to get him to back out of the huddle and the Henry player flopped. Was glad the ref didn't fall for it.
  13. Several times when Owen has played Henry this year, after the Henry County team went back on the floor following a time out or end of quarter one of the players joined the Owen County huddle standing directly with the Rebels as if he was one of them. I don't know if his intent was to overhear strategy or to just try to annoy them.
  14. Not the first time a Henry County player got into Owen's huddle. Did it at their last game at Henry too. Really can't figure out what that's all about and why the Henry Co. coach allows it.
  15. Approximately 25 pts, 15 rebounds, 2.5 assists
  16. Had 39 last night in a win against Trimble. I've seen a couple of 40 plus games reported for him too. Per KHSAA he was averaging 26.8 before tonight.
  17. I think they can coach an AAU team as long as none of their school players are on the AAU team. The only exception being a son or daughter.
  18. Leave the quarters but I would love to see a shot clock.
  19. It was cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow.
  20. I agree! What about divorce, death, house burns down, foster kids, illness in the family? Too many legitimate reasons to move to have a blanket 1 year sit out rule. No easy answer or fix for the current situation.
  21. 8th Region usually has a couple of good games in the All A tourney. Since it is not seeded sometimes the better games are in the first round.
  22. If they moved with their fathers as stated in the article I don't see how they are ineligible. However, statements saying that Cordia wants to be like a prep school does not help their cases. I'm curious if there are any other students from similar situations who do not play basketball.Regardless, I feel bad for these guys who are only trying to improve their circumstances.
