Team Work, the team that beat Hoop Dreams out, won the tourney. I believe Hoop Dreams played them the closest of any other team in the tourney and I also heard that they won the King James. Based on that I would say that while disappointed in their early departure, Hoop Dreams U15 did not underachieve.

Hoop Dreams did not add anyone and were missing Dow. The team that beat them by 3 is in Final four with their latest victory by 6 over the Houston Defenders. As far as practice goes, yes it would have been nice to have had more practice time but most of the players had extremely busy Junes with school ball and camps. Believe it or not I hear a few of them even went on a vacation.

I have only seen Manimal a few times but was impressed with their team play and the lack of individualism that is seen on many AAU teams. To what do you attribute the change in style? I see that they are going to Eddie Ford. Are NCAA coaches allowed at Eddie Ford? I remember hearing something about some violations and a ban for a year or two.

I'm all for strict discipline and even a ruler across the head but come on, it is NEVER appropriate to have a student bare their private parts. Parents and society have told these kids multiple times not to do this for anyone except parents and doctors and that is sound advice. I won't speak to this specific situation because all I know is hearsay but an adult should never ever put themselves or the student in that position.

I beg to differ. If a male teacher asked a boy to open his shorts many people, myself included, would have been shocked. Anyone in this day and age should know that you would only be asking for major trouble to put yourself in that situation.

What he said. Teachers are required to obtain a Master's Degree and I never heard of a school paying for that. I would be highly ticked off if my BOE agreed to pay for a super's doctorate.

I am not claiming to all the rules. My point was that I prefer not to sit by someone that corrects people around them when they are upset about a call. It is rather annoying. No one wants to sit by that guy.

Neither are necessary. What would you think if another school employee, say a lunch lady told your kid to eat her effing lunch? Or a teacher or bus driver used profanity? For some reason coaches sometimes are held to much different standards. That said, I would take the second statement any day over the personal attack.

I think KBA would have made some more cash if they sold programs. I heard people all weekend trying to figure out who players were and where they attend high school. I agree that the reffing went down hill on Sunday for whatever reason. Maybe it was just more noticeable as the games got closer and more important. Did anyone else find it odd that the Manimal vs Magic pool game on Friday had a 3 man crew and the other pool games or at least the ones I saw only had 2?
