Yup, he has coached at NDA and Holy Cross (several times, I think).

Interesting hire. Hasn't Coached Maile bounced around to various schools over the past several years and from boys to girls? After his time spent at CovCath he doesn't seem to stay in one place very long. Anyone know or care to offer an opinion as to why?

Yes, Coach Maile has been around the block a few times. Most recently, I think the reason was to coach his grandchildren...but he's jumped around from school to school prior to that as well.

Without a doubt. Kez is decent and Holmes and Notre Dame don't have coaches. Tim Heil at Cov. Latin does a very good job as well.

Coach Maile is a great hire. He was the boy's head coach at Cov. Cath. in the early/mid 70's. Very well respected. Played at LSU and is in their athletic Hall of Fame. He made the ballot for LSU Men's Basketball All-Century Team. The guy behind him on the ballot was a pretty fair player, as well.

Looks like coach Maile's basketball career was great but how did he do as a high school coach? Why would beechwood hire someone who is only going to be there for a couple of years. Beechwood was not very good last year and you can probably expect the samething this year. IMO i question the hire. Nothing really against Maile but you wonder how long he will be there and being in your 70's i would think not very long with a team not very good.
