A majority of them are still there I believe. But to have a true High school program, maybe they break the mold of that UJ 8th grade and start building a bigger combined mold with everyone else from the BCPWFL. Whatever it is, it's working once they reach Varsity level.

I did not say Cooper was bad, I said they have not done well in the past, and that is record wise. I think finding out player talent/development is more important at that level than wins or losses, and that is the Jags focus at that level. Congrats to the Bluebirds for the win in the freshman game.

I only asked because you see Highlands as "Very Good" and Cooper as "Decent". My bad for misunderstanding that Decent is better than Very Good. :thumb:

Decent??? Please explain your definition of decent. To me, any team that shows up and can "compete" on a regular basis is "Decent". I'm sure they appreciate the compliment.

If the Ryle Raiders win this game, please never post on here again! That was even more arrogant than our local favorite. It's OK to believe in your team, but have some decency with it. haven't seen LC this year, but I know Ryle has a very good squad and I don't think they are going to lay down and let your super heroes run amok come game time.

Well that's an armpit excuse. Cooper is used to not getting the recognition they deserve, so there's no surprise here. I think we all like the win/loss column better than these rankings, because that's what really counts.

I thought overall Cooper played very well on both sides of the ball. Minus special teams hiccups and some players being a little gassed, I think a lot of question marks were answered last night as far as position players. Borchers seems to have the right kids on the field in the right spots. That performance was not a fluke, that's how that group of kids have played together since they started it out years ago. I also know they can always get better. What question marks, and at what positions should we look for next week to keep improving?

We've learned to take certain members comments as useless, babbling baby talk. This site really needs a block individual option. It would make for much better knowledgeable conversations for those of us that really do have a clue. By the way……what in the heck is a "night mare"???:lol:

Aaron Rogers At PVH when I coached youth and High School football out in California. He made my defensive backs look silly. I knew then that he was going to be something special in the future. And please note that he played JUCO ball at Butte College as well. These kids need to learn that it's not all about DI.

If the route doesn't come open, he's learned to not force into bad decisions. It's good practice for the QB's to learn to keep and take what you can get with your legs instead of forcing throws into covered receivers (another part of 7 on 7 reads). Clark is doing a good job with the QB's and I like what I see.

I think the QB, the OLine and the rest of the offensive unit will be just fine. Looking forward to this season. This is a unit of guys that have worked hard together every since the beginning of the Union Jaguar program, and know how to play for each other.

Considering SK was dropping 8 into coverage, I think Cooper did fairly well connecting with quite a few of their backup receivers. I always thought 7 on 7 was really 7 on 7 or 7 on 8 an 1 lb sitting to simulate a blitz. Am I confused or did the rules change? It doesn't really matter because it's just 7 on 7 passing practice.

Very True! It's all about what the kid wants. If my kids goal is to be a glorified tackling dummy just to wear a certain jersey, I'm gonna have to rethink my parenting. LOL..I'm just kidding! I really know what you mean about being a part of your dream team rather than playing time for any team.:thumb:

What would you consider better? I think it's better to go where you can get on the field early and constantly as opposed to going to a top FBS where you may never see the field and possibly not even make the traveling squad. It's good for kids and parents to have the BIG dreams, but being able to actually play is the BEST option in my opinion.

Complete QB & Wide Receiver is a good camp on technique and fundamentals. Chris is one of the better QB coaches I've come across on QB fundamentals. A session is at Ryle in July.

I have seen one of Males running backs at a few combines this year. He has decent size, but his speed is what impressed me.

Who was the last recent 5A or 6A Public High School in the NKY area to make it to the State Championship Game and the State Semi Final within a 4 year time span?

Fear…He asked for the "Real Reason", :loll: and honestly the only one who knows that is probably RB. I highly doubt they ran from either of those two teams though, but again, I don't know the real reason. 5A or 6A, Cooper is going to play every team the same, and that's with a hard working work ethic and the fortitude that these boys have instilled in themselves since Youth football. By the way, Cooper opens up with Highlands, I believe. Maybe they should just tuck their heads between their tails and run the other way. :roll eyes: Heck No! WE FIGHT!!! WE FIGHT!!!! WE FIGHT!!!!
