2016 Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Classic (BB&T Arena @ NKU)
Fill me in .... where are the "Buckeye" teams .... in the Bluegrass-Buckeye Classic?

Bishop Brossart 47 Campbell County 45
At halftime, it was announced that Campbell County won the Crosstown FOODout canned food drive competition. Over 7000 pounds of food collected by both schools!! That is a staggering amount, and both school communities should be commended. WELL DONE!!

Bishop Brossart 47 Campbell County 45
CCMS is a fairly large, multi-purpose facility. When both sideline bleachers are retracted, there are two full-size basketball and volleyball courts that parallel each other, running perpendicular to the regulation court. The volleyball lines you reference are the SIDELINES of those auxiliary courts, and the two officials are standing where the net would be. Hope that helps.

Inside the 9th Region (12/14)
Not a shot by any means at Grant Co, but I think Campbell is a more formidable foe. If Grant were to play Campbell, I'd take the Camels.

Campbell County 77 St. Henry 59
Brutal, brutal schedule for the Cru. Start the season with road games at Brossart, Conner, Holmes and Campbell County, and a home game against CovCath. BRUTAL Hopefully, the team can maintain a positive attitude and accept these games as a growing/learning opportunity. Otherwise, the season may get away from them quickly. Best of luck, Cru!!

Bracken County Hosting 10th Region Possible?
And you showed up at tip-time, and scored 2 front row seats with a friend!! Saw an overtime thriller, if I remember correctly ....

Should The Colonel Crazies' Treatment Of Inbounders Have To Change?
Are you kidding me? Plenty of room? You even mentioned in the other thread the inbounder has 3' wide, but no limit behind him. In that video, if the inbounder attempts to move backwards, he steps on an ADULT! Look at their feet in the end. To the folks in Park Hills, I hate to tell you, but the Emporer isn't wearing any clothes!! justsayin

Should The Colonel Crazies' Treatment Of Inbounders Have To Change?
I may come across as against the antics. In fact, I'm not. Like everyone, I find it very entertaining. I was looking for clarification on what happens if an inbounder is contacted in the act of throwing the ball. I just don't want to see them impede the action (back up a bit). My point was, most view the crazies as an advantage. I don't disagree. But if I'm an opposing player and I can EASILY gain an advantage in return (unsporting technical foul on interference), you're damn right I would!!

Should The Colonel Crazies' Treatment Of Inbounders Have To Change?
Thanks BB..that's what I thought, but wasn't sure. It seems this "problem" would go away the first time that happens. A resourceful player could utilize that rule to their advantage very easily, and no one would have room to argue. Imagine a late-game situation in a key district seeding contest where a player were interfered with. 2 shots, plus possession. Are you reading Mr Schrand/Mr Listerman?!

Bishop Brossart 64 Newport 54
Mullins played some 1 last night. When Snapp did bring it up, once he got rid of it, Brossart did a good job of not letting him get it back. Of course, most Newport possessions never lasted more than six seconds, as someone was either jacking up a long shot or attacking the rim. 3 passes was a sustained possession. Justsayin...

Bishop Brossart 64 Newport 54
BGP reunion at the Newport Middle School tonight. A plethora of posters in the house (trying to rival the CovCath/Cooper contingent), as well as many clipboards (Highlands, Scott, NCC , to name a few). A few college scouts present to witness Snapp and Crawford. Steve Ridder (Embry Riddle) also in attendance (tho that was a surprise visit to see family and his nephew John-Boy Ridder play). All-in-all, an enjoyable, spirited early-season high school basketball game.

Franklin County 68 Campbell County 47
Hmmm...first Scott gets blown out last night, now Campbell tonight. Both will come back I'm sure. Too much talent not to. But considering both were getting a ton of pre-season love, I'm certainly surprised. Gonna be a fun season!

Newport Central Catholic 92 Dayton 39
Dayton put up 17 points in the second stanza. I'm sure Coach Dawn peeled some locker room paint at halftime. I have no problem with starters playing in the third period, or if they were pressing.

I ask everyone to go to Post #23, and answer this question ... is this a BGP first?! A poster arguing with himself?!! :ohbrother: Classic!

Officiating Question?
The restricted arc makes the game so much better. I wish it was adopted at the HS level.

BGP Soccer Roll Call
Fantastic evening, and a wonderful program. Quite nostalgic to see SO MANY players my son has had the privilege of playing with over the years between the many NKUnited/Kings/NKSA teams. Equally impressive was the message that coaches and Famers relayed to the boys about the importance of education, and giving back. I hope that resonated. Hard to believe a Hall of Fame existed without Coach Horton. Glad to see that rectified.

Silver Grove 2015-16
I'm thrilled to see they have a team this year. It appears they have opted out of playing the 37th District seeding games, and have composed a schedule that should allow them some measure of success. Best of luck to Coach Brownstein the the Big Trains!!

Most Misunderstood Basketball Rules
The NCAA eliminated the five-second (closely guarded) rule. Did high school?

2015 KHSBSA All-State Selection
I believe there is a post-season All Star game. Thus, two teams...East vs West.

Covington Catholic 2 Trinity 1
My point was that those who come to this forum in general, and this thread in particular, care about the players and the game. Let's not gripe about perceived injustice (1400+ is a great crowd, and we all know the media coverage stinks for HS sports). I, and I'm sure the players/parents, would like to hear about the game (strategy, coaching decisions, great plays, key plays, turning points, etc). That's all.

Sacred Heart 1 Notre Dame 0
Is this a game thread, or a discussion about seeding and/or the usual private/public drivel?!
