Both will come back I'm sure. Too much talent not to. But considering both were getting a ton of pre-season love, I'm certainly surprised. Gonna be a fun season!

As for Campbell County. They are a solid team. You have to remember they have some young players. They may have put too much pressure on themselves with all the pre-season love they were getting. I'm sure once they settle down and just play the game they love to play they will be great! There is a lot of talent there. Also, can't be looking at this game like they blew it, Franklin County is a great team. Most projected they would win this battle. Great job and best of luck the rest of the season to you both!

First bolded: They play 5 seniors and 3 sophs primarily, correct? In this day and age (with participation rates), most HS teams would love to have that much experience on the floor. And the sophomores are very experienced and tested. I'm not sure this should be an issue for them.

 

Second bolded: Agree with this. Overzealous fans can put a lot of pressure on HS athletes. You see this in all HS sports.

 

Third bolded: I agree. If I were a CC fan, I would look at this as one game. Who cares what the deficit is. It's one L against a very good team. Move on and attack the rest of the schedule. There is no doubt they will be just fine once it really matters in February.

Folks Franklin Co is extremely talented. They are a top 5 team in my opinion. Frank Kilbourne Cook and Stewart are all a handful to have to worry about. All can score and when they spread the floor they are lethal

Do you feel that was due to FC's pressure or were they just missing open shots?

Franklin County was super impressive. Sometimes teams that rely on shooters can be off and it can bring a loss. As the season goes on I think there will be less and less games where that happens. IMO the Camels will still win the region. No one thought they would go undefeated. Franklin Co is a top ten team.
