  1. I tend to agree. I don't know who is better right now, Mahomes or Smith. From what I have heard though, Andy Reid believes the Chiefs are better with Mahomes going forward. I think Reid LOVES Mahomes and thinks he is the real deal...will be interesting to see...
  2. OOPS! Meant to say it is NOT a millennial thing...ugh...those darn baby boomers are so bad with saying what they mean!
  3. My wife is Catholic. I am not but I go to Catholic mass with her often. She goes to mass every Saturday evening or Sunday morning. She wears nice jeans 90% of the time and I do too. I would bet 50% or more of the people are wearing jeans (my wife and I are both 54) at mass. It is certainly a millennial thing...Catholics of all ages wear jeans to church (or worse). I have seen sweat pants too...
  4. Wow...go from LA to Detroit...talk about a culture shock...bring a winter jacket Blake...
  5. I just hope he gets caught stealing something over there... Wonder if Trump would help him get out...lol
  6. I am a big time Tiger fan but I was not as optimistic about his play as many others this week. It is just amazing to me that the best player of all time (or maybe second best behind Jack - debatable) literally cannot hit a driver and keep it on the planet. He was missing fairways by 30-40 yards in some cases AND he had a two way miss...not good. I think he stood over the ball on the tee and had absolutely no idea where the ball was going. His short game was remarkable or he could have shot 77 every day. I hope he can figure out the driver but am skeptical.
  7. There is NO EXCUSE for a player to take 4 minutes to hit a shot with a clear green ahead. I could not believe he layed up - just shocking. If he goes for it and hits in the water, he makes a bogey...so what. It's not like JB needs the money... I lost a lot of respect for JB after that display...
  8. Federer in the finals! One win from his 20th major...he is simply an amazing athlete...best tennis player ever IMO...
  9. I don't think Dantonio will ever coach another game at MSU. I think a total purge of the athletic department is starting now. AD is now gone. The new AD may want a fresh start since it looks like Dantonio has some culpability here. As far as Izzo goes, does he survive this season? His team is a legitimate Final Four candidate but this situation is going to get white hot very quickly (the issue with the assistant). He has already publicly backed the President who was forced out...much to the ire of the gymnasts. I think there is a decent chance he does not survive this season and an even better chance that this is his last year there.
  10. What's the O/U on how long this guy lasts in jail? I say less than two years. Either one of the other inmates will kill him or all the other inmates will make his life such a living hell, he will kill himself...prisoners do NOT like child molesters...
  11. Eifert is a FA and from what I have heard, he will most likely not be back...is he supposed to come back now? Even if he does his over/under for games played is about 4.5...
  12. I am not a huge tennis fan but I do like following the majors. This Aussie Open has been very entertaining to me. Some young players are breaking through and the quality of tennis has been phenomenal IMO...Nadal and Federer keep defying Father Time as well. On the women's side, with Serena out, it is wide open. Depending on who wins, there are 3 or 4 women who could be ranked #1 when this tournament is over... I am rooting for Federer (I always do) and Kerber...
  13. I like the Pats to win but not cover (I think the line opened up with the Pats a 5.5 favorite). Since all 7 SB's that Brady has played in have been very close games...all with the outcome in doubt with 1-2 minutes remaining...I would take the points.
  14. If I was Drew Brees, I would certainly listen to free agent offers. I think he is crazy not to. Can you imagine what the two losers yesterday would offer to Brees? Both are ready to win now and if you put Brees on either of those teams, they immediately become a favorite next year. I know the Saints are pretty good too but why not listen to the Vikings or Jags and see how much they offer??
  15. That is frankly a shocking statistic. I would have NEVER guessed that...
  16. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Pats after this year. Assuming both coordinators leave, I am really interested to see what Belichick does. If he stays, I think the Pats will be fine at least next year...they will get Edelman back (unless he is a free agent - not sure about that) and Brady still looks great. If Belichick leaves...uh oh... I cannot imagine ANYONE wanting to be the guy who follows Belichick in NE...impossible task...
  17. Still early and a long way to go, but as a Pats fan, I have to admit the Jags look like the better team so far.
  18. The street car is just very confusing for other drivers. I am surprised it does not get hit more often. It will often make a turn to the left from the far right lane in front of cars in lanes left of the streetcar...just crazy. If you are not familiar with driving downtown with the streetcar, I can see how you would be shocked that all of a sudden this monstrosity comes out of an area that you just are not expecting. EVERYTHING about the streetcar is just stupid and most people knew it was stupid BEFORE the nonsense started. I saw one doing the left turn deal in front of GABP last week and it had zero passengers in it...
  19. I agree except I don't like beer...never have...the other two are spot on however:)!
  20. I think this would be a good change overall. I don't think as many kids would transfer as many others think. No doubt more will transfer than now though. The devil would be in the details though and there will be unintended consequences. Coaches will just have to adjust...and some will better than others. In football, I think it will actually help the smaller schools as I would see very good players sitting on the bench at big time schools leaving to have a chance to go play at a different (and maybe smaller) school. I am not sure what would happen in hoops. I see more movement both ways in hoops I guess..
  21. I just heard that Clint Brown, owner of the Florence Freedom, has passed away. He was way too young; only 63. I knew Clint years ago although I have not talked to him recently. He was a great guy and a very fun guy to be around. He absolutely loved baseball and besides saving the Freedom when he bought it in a distressed situation, he was also a great friend to NKY HS baseball. I pray for his wife Kim and his family...we lost a good one with Clint leaving us...
  22. I remember watching him as a very young kid. He was really good and seems like he was a really good person...very sad to hear he passed...and all time great Celtic...
  23. How do you let the kids at Cordia play at Knott Central this year? Do you have 30 kids on the Knott Central basketball team? Do you cut kids at Knott Central who have been on team all year to make room for the better Cordia players? I just don't see how you do this mid-season...
  24. I think one of the Saints players who came out for the EP was the punter who looked like he broke a rib in the first quarter...they had to be begging guys to come out...
  25. That looks like a question on a test in HS...which one of these objects does not belong with the others?? lol
