BTW, I got to the game about 15 minutes before kickoff and had to wait a whopping 4-5 minutes in line to get my ticket. That no pre-sale thing created quite the nightmare getting in!!

That's good news! I hope CC wins it in Florida. They seem to be peaking at the right time. I believe they have given up 7 total points in their 3 playoff wins...impressive.

LC converted a bunch of 3rd and 4th down and long plays. Some good QB and receiver play to be sure but I wish HHS would have rushed more than 3 guys on these plays. It seemed like on all the big conversions, HHS only rushed 3. When HHS blitzed, it worked many more times than not. Overall, a nice performance by the Birds. The offense has been so good of late, that they are just expected to score 40+ every week - and they did. The defense had a lot of big plays against a very good offense and completely stopped their running attack. I hope Jared Daugherty's ankle is OK. Even though he was limping on his kicks after he went down, he still drilled a couple of extra points and his second FG. The one he missed was from about 50 yards into a decent breeze and he had the leg but hit the right upright. He hammered it.

Thank goodness Dougherty made his first FG last Friday against CCH!!!! HUGE!

I am sure HHS remembers the "head butter". A buddy of mine who was on the sideline told me that was about as mad as he has ever seen Dale Mueller regarding that kid and the fact the refs would not do anything about it. Ancient history though. That kid is gone and the kids on HHS (and LC) now were on the JV or freshman teams back then.

If that is the case regarding BOTH teams having to agree to the time change, then all is OK. That is the way it should be. I don't know why the teams agreed to move it to 6, but if they both agree, I am not complaining...

Sure it is different Clyde. If you are playing 6 games in 2 days at the SAME FACILITY you HAVE to inconvenience fans from 2 of the games (the early two games of Friday). You do not have to in the semi-finals. Big difference...

Not sure I understand the point? What does the state finals game time have to do with a state semi-final game time? Half to them are on Saturday anyway, right?

Correct me if I am wrong but Moeller has been going with Crable at QB and I don't think he was the original starter. I believe he is only playing because of injury. Doesn't change my thoughts on how impressive the run by Mo is or my thoughts on Rosenberg. Mo will definitely have their hands full with Wayne next week. Wayne is scary right now.

HB, this is a serious question. I have not seen the pick 6's. Were they noteworthy plays in that the Keller made incredible catches or runs (like Hoge's) or is it just the fact he had 2? Again, not trying to stir the pot - just asking the question because I have not seen them. If someone has them on video, I would like to see them.

I have to admit I was surprised by the moving of the game time. Does anyone know why? I've heard people say it is wrong (I agree) but I still have not heard why. I don't understand the rationale of moving it to 6. A lot of people DO have to work the day after Turkey Day so this will definitely inconvenience some people and I just don't see the upside (one hour is not going to make any real difference in the weather). Someone mentioned earlier that LexCath had to OK it but unless the rules have changed, I don't think so. Anyway, this is not a huge deal but I don't like or understand it and if I was a parent of a kid on either team that has to miss some or all of the game because of this, I would not be happy. Again, I don't see the upside and I do see some downside.

Not shocked that Mo beat X but the ease in which they won surprises me. Mo is two wins away from the three peat in D1 in Ohio...that is just unheard of this day and age. As a HHS fan, I am glad Rodenberg is coaching Moeller and is no longer at CovCath. The guy can flat out coach.

It is hard to compare him with different players from different years. I did say earlier this year that I think he is the most valuable player in the state this year. Not saying the best (although he may be) but most valuable to his team. I seriously doubt HHS is still playing if not for him.

I have watched the tape numerous times (and I saw it live) Papa. The tackling may not have been great but I really do think it was more a great run than just poor tackling. The moves he made were incredible and he made a lot of them... Watching it live was even more impressive than on the tape too...
