Final.

Final stats?

Great season for the Knights and Highland keeps on rolling. Even with a coaching change Highlands is ELITE.

LexCath has a really good QB and Ogbogu is a heck of a receiver! Congrats to the Knights on a great season.

Great job, Birds! Now it's off to BG to face either Owensboro or North Oldham. Bring back state for Northern Kentucky and your greatest fan who I know is looking down and smiling on you guys, Birdsfan!

Great job Birds!!! :angrybird12:

Highlands won this game in the trenches. On D they held Jaylen Jones, who came into this game well over 1600 yards and averaging over 6 yards a carry to 5 yards on 11 carries. They also sacked Ryan 7 times. 42 and 54 dominated.

On offense the OLine allowed them to run for a lot of yards with both Hoge and #20.

They should cruise next week unless Owensboro or North Oldham discover a passing game as the Birds secondary is very suspect, Knights left some points on the board with drops and overthrows early in the game.

For the LexCath seniors, tonight will feel terrible but you can hold your head high knowing you were the 1st group of Knights to make the state semis all 4 years of their careers. A bunch of great players who will be missed.

Next year should be good in the new land of 3A (and the Highlands roadblock to classes away). LexCath will be one of the favorites in the class if they do 2 things, shore up the Defense which should happen as they played a lot of juniors and sophs on that side of the ball and get QB play half as good as they had this year.

Thanks for your updates tonight! Much appreciated!

No problem, ended up not being able to travel up there (got sick) so watched on computer.

QB run by Highlands killed LexCath tonight, making it 3 out of 4 games where that was the biggest weapon the Birds have against the Knights. Makes it hard to defend everything else when you have to add other defenders for the QB.

Hoge is the best of the 4 QBs I have seen Highlands have over the past 4 seasons IMO.

Lines came up big for the Birds, good job! Beau was Beau, going to miss him.

Congrats to Birds.

Great Job Birds Offensive Line and Coach Turner! There were a lot of unknowns to start the year with pretty much all new faces, to just see them getting better and better each week has been fun to watch.

Owensboro scores on a last second deflected pass to beat North Oldham 27-24.

So Owensboro to play HHS in BG

I had heard that Highlands lines would be small this season. Not the case from what I saw tonight, still HUGE

The play by QB Reese tonight was unbelievable. How many 4th downs did he convert?
