Bearcats get the season started early! I see alot of points going up.

Mason County at Bracken County Predictions/Updates
Alright.. I am going to address the elephant in the room. Are we really going to act like the kid wearing #32 for the Polar Bears isn't a stud? 2,083 rushing yards in 2024 and 32 TD's on the ground of which 137 of those yards were against the 1A State Champion. This kid is an animal and if he was on any of the states most precious programs we would be considering him for Mr. Football. Give me Daulton Tarter and the Polar Bears.

Woodford County wins..

2025 Lafayette Generals
This is the most athletic Lafayette team I have seen in quite some time. I could see another winning season ahead.

Warren East at Campbellsville (Scrimmage)
According to the KHSAA they have 16 players of which I do believe 3 of the 16 have transferred out and 1 has quit. That would leave them with 12 players and one of the smallest Frankfort rosters I have ever seen.

Warren East at Campbellsville (Scrimmage)
The panther canceled against Henry, is the scrimmage for Friday still a go?

Sayre at Breathitt County Predictions/Updates 8/15 (Scrimmage)
The Spartans travel down the Bert T Combs Mountain Parkway this Friday for their second scrimmage against Breathitt County. How will the Spartans fair against the Bobcats?

Calling My Shot: Raceland 15-0 in 2025
I think to one play from that game and it was the first and 10 play action. Sayre had to load the box. Why not quick game or something but you had to know that with how they were picking up 4-6 yard per carry the box was going to be loaded. He continues to run the ball that trophy could very well be sitting in Raceland.

Calling My Shot: Raceland 15-0 in 2025
Coaching! No different than the state championship last year!

2025 Frederick Douglass Broncos
This is quite possibly the toughest schedule in the state. If Douglass makes it through this they will absolutely be battle tested for a deep run in the playoffs. Coach McPeek is not running from the smoke!

2025 Great Crossing Warhawks
Is there an update from Georgetown? I have heard of some rumblings of a major player transferring but cannot confirm.

Sayre at Lafayette Scrimmage Predictions/Updates
You're not wrong—Lafayette does need to see some success. This program has reached the State Championship not once, but twice in the past decade. Last year marked a significant improvement under Coach Lawson. The Generals recorded six wins—the most since their 2016 State Championship run, where they ultimately fell to Trinity. Since that 2016 season, Lafayette has totaled just 17 wins across eight seasons, with last year’s six victories being both the high point and their only winning season in that stretch. If you're a Lafayette fan, you'd love to see this team return to prominence. While I don’t think tomorrow is a make-or-break moment for the Generals, I’ve noticed some promising changes and expect them to notch another winning season.

2025 Kentucky Country Day Bearcats
Couldn't agree more. All of his teams are very disciplined and well coached.

2025 Kentucky Country Day Bearcats
I have no doubt Raceland and Pikeville always find a way to reload. I believe KCD is ready to make a run. I am also interested to see what Campbellsville will look like as well.

Fundraising
- Partner with local restaurants and hold a bearcat football night. - Working the Derby, and security for many large events yields a high reward but takes some tough adults. (Must have connection) - Mulch - Sell Yard Signs and Door Hangers for everyone in your program (Youth League-HS) with their favorite athlete on it. - Text App Fundraisers (Have to keep up with the digital age) - Laundry Detergent - Corporate sponsors and signage (Will yield a ton if you go out face to face an do a partnership) - Youth Camp

2025 Sayre Spartans
It will be interesting to see the new Spartans tomorrow vs Lafayette. We will get our first look of this team.
-
2025 Kentucky Country Day Bearcats
I think this is the team to beat in 1A. Returning 20 starters after a great playoff run I don't know how they can't be the favorite in 1A.

Sayre at Lafayette Scrimmage Predictions/Updates
The Spartans will take the 3 mile hike down Harrodsburg Road to Scrimmage the Generals this Friday!
-
2025 Anderson County Bearcats
This will definitely be a team that’s going to upset some ball clubs this year! They are physical, well coached, and the third most underrated ingredient is the community shows up no matter the opponent! It’s hard looking across that sideline at the Red Sea with not a lot of road support! Looking for this team to be standing in the 2nd and 3rd round of the playoffs.

2025 Sayre Spartans
It’s a balancing act for 1A programs. After winning a state championship there are many teams across the state at every level that refuse to play, despite losing as much as the Spartans have and only returning 400 yards of offense. As a coach you must do your best to balance a competitive schedule that resembles your team’s talent level. This schedule resembles the Spartan roster on paper. There isn’t a Coffman, Slabaugh, or L. Pennington lining up next year! Coaches kill teams and by overachieving in the schedule department.

Franklin County’s Coach Joey Thacker Retiring
Definitely, a coach who has poured time and energy into a lot of young athletes over the years. I think the one thing that will go under the radar is his commitment and balance as a husband and a dad while being a father figure to many of the young women he coached. He has created a legacy at Franklin County and also was a big part of the success at LCA (football) during his tenure there. Wishing Coach Thacker much success in the future.

Big time hire! Coach has a true understanding of the game! Is a Franklin Co grad and spent some time with NC State if I’m not mistaken! Wishing Coach Sanderson and the warriors much success! Hopefully the admin can step out of the way and let him work!
