IMO,  Varsity will be about 5-5. Graduated 15/22 starters. 5 and 8 are nice players, but all the players who blocked for them as well as the majority of their defensive production is gone. They were barely able to field a JV team last year, they canceled the game against us citing lack of players. Defensive Coordinator gone. Their last 2 freshman teams ('27s and '28s) were atrocious, they may have won 4 or 5 games in the last 2 seasons. Nice one year run, anyone who knows the intricacies of the rosters at SC and GC can see order is going to be restored sooner than later.

They’re in over their heads. Only wins I can see are Dunbar, Campbell County, SK, and Madison Central.

I definitely side with you two about their varsity schedule. When I came across the schedule my initial thought was "Wow!" ....they're probably near the top 5 toughest schedules in 6A behind Trinity, St. X, Male, Manual, Douglass. Ballard's schedule isn't out yet, and I'd say the Great Crossing schedule is pretty much every bit on par with Ryle's schedule this year. They're bookended with two of the toughest teams in 4A football, plus Scott County, Woodford County and Lex Cath to round out non-district. That's a battle from start to finish.

Obviously last year they had their wins over Lex Cath and Scott County last year. Lex Cath may be winnable again this year since they graduated about 40% of their starters, and Scott County has to replace a lot of skills players on offense this year plus a lot of tackle production on D...but with as many graduation losses that Great Crossing has on their side, and the team depth that Lex Cath and Scott County both maintain, those are going to be some tough games, to say the least.

I think 5-5 is best case, with maybe 2-8 worst case.

Is there an update from Georgetown? I have heard of some rumblings of a major player transferring but cannot confirm.

Is this the talented RB?

BTK is referring to Crossing's former quarterback, Jeremiah Clark. Luke Ballard is the running back you're thinking of.
