Week 1: The Royals head to Brooksville as these two face off for the first time in school history.  Mason County has about double the enrollment of Bracken County.  However, Bracken County returns what may be their best team in program history (since 2003). I'm excited to watch this one!  I think it will be a great game.

Probably.  Bracken County had a very slow start against Newport.

First team to 20 will more than likely win.

11 years ago at Mason County for week 1, we were forced to go with the back up QB because our starter had some health issues. Monday was a rough day. I had to go to his house after practice to calm him down. Weather forced us to come back on Saturday to finish the game. Our back up/starter for game 1 QB led us down the field for the game winning TD, late in the 4th. 

That QB's name was Bradley Boone. Friday Night will he his first game as a head coach when he leads the Royals. Best wishes to old #19 and his team!

Royals will be too much for the Polar Bears.

I love stories about coaches and how they have come up as players, etc.  It really gives a great perspective that "yes I have been in your shoes and understand how you feel."

For Mason, this is a must win game. Their schedule is difficult and with lack of experience returning, they could be looking at a 2-9 season. 

Alright..  I am going to address the elephant in the room.

Are we really going to act like the kid wearing #32 for the Polar Bears isn't a stud? 2,083 rushing yards in 2024 and 32 TD's on the ground of which 137 of those yards were against the 1A State Champion. This kid is an animal and if he was on any of the states most precious programs we would be considering him for Mr. Football. 

Give me Daulton Tarter and the Polar Bears. 

The Polar Bears are going to be amped for this game.  Hope the excitement does not cause early game mistakes.  Once the adrenaline gets back to normal levels, I think the Royals are going to be surprised by their country cousins from Brooksville.

He is a baller.  Size and 4.7(?) speed deterrents.  But he consistently outperforms faster guys on the field.  Assuming his academics are in order he will do well at TM, Georgetown, Campbellsville level.
