Trinity 37 Male 34
Impressed with Male. But doubly impressed with Trinity given what Male threw at them. Onside kicks (3x), fake punt, deep throws, costly turnovers. Trinity took over the game in 2nd half at LOS and ran it down Male's throat. Impressed that Beatty abandoned the pass and ran right at Male to wear them down.

Trinity 35 Brentwood Academy (TN) 21
Great win for the Rocks. Interesting the "struggles" of the other two 6A powers the first two weeks against "meh" competition.

Trinity 45 Ensworth (TN) 0
I was really impressed with Trinity tonight. It is hard to find much to complain about when you beat a team 45-0, especially a big school from out of state. I really like what I saw out of Jailen Reed, he's a solid running back. On to Montgomery Bell!

Trinity at Meade County Semi-State: Who wins and Why?
Trinity will win this one. ROCKS on a different level in November under Beatty. I'm using history on this one.

PRIDE WEEK: Trinity -vs- St. Xavier....who wins?
I think Trinity wins this one by 10. St. X is certainly improved, but Trinity's still got their number.

Trinity 74 Moore 57
Watched Trinity play twice today, they are very quick, very long, and very athletic. They may not stack up nationally against the best teams, but looked to definitely live up to their #1 rank in Kentucky. Very interested to see who in Louisville can challenge them in Region 7. Ballard was handled by Moore today (although Moore edged it out by 2), but Trinity really laid it to Moore in the second half, and really laid it to J-Town as well. It's basketball, and anything can happen, BUT I really like Trinity making the Sweet 16.

Question about rankings for basketball/football history buffs
Has there ever been a team to be ranked #1 in Basketball and Football at the same time? Has a school ever won state in both sports in the same year? Curiously enough, Trinity is #1 in both right now. Is that the first time it's ever been done in KY?

Super District Round 1 Results (T,X,M,H)
It is essentially the same set up prior to the "super" district. Every other year Trinity and St. X would meet in the quarterfinals.

Super District Round 1 Results (T,X,M,H)
The thing was we already played St. X each season and Manual most of the time. I am not complaining about the level of competition we have to face. That is fine, I'd rather play Manual and Male than blow out an even more over-matched Eastern or Seneca squad. My whole thought process is essentially they placed the three-to-four best in one district so that the four is dwindled down to one after the quarterfinals. Well of course that may be the case anyways because we are getting to the semi-finals and not every good team can be there. But what is the point of putting St. X and Trinity up against each other in the quarterfinals if you know that they are the two best teams? Trinity's geography has Ballard, Eastern, and Seneca closer to them than Male, Manual, or St. X, but they moved it around so Trinity could be put there? Doesn't make sense to me. But it is fine, Trinity will lace 'em up and if they are as good as they are advertised to be then they will win state. If not then it's been a really good year.

Super District Round 1 Results (T,X,M,H)
Alright. The SEC had divisional play which led to seeding by divisions for the SEC Tournament. The weak SEC West got two byes when the best three-four teams were in the SEC East. Therefore the third and fourth best team in the conference came from the East and had to wind up playing the best earlier and without a day's rest. What did the SEC do? They changed it because they wanted the four best teams to get byes and set up a potential 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 in the semifinals instead of a 1 vs. 3/4 or 2 vs. 3/4 in the quarterfinals. Now the KHSAA playoffs don't have byes but essentially the point of placing the best teams in one area of the bracket in order to eliminate them sooner is stupid. As I said before they used to do it every other year and now it is every year. They royally screwed up, but good luck to whoever makes the finals and plays Trinity/St. X/Manual/Male every year. I guess once those four start blowing people out in the Finals they'll have to figure out another avenue to satisfy the county schools.

Manual / Trinity predictions
No one has been able to consistently run the ball on Trinity all year, not saying Manual won't do it, but it'll be tough. Not to mention to beat Trinity you must stop them multiple times in the game, which no one besides Cincinnati St. X has done. Manual may put up a fight early, but I believe it be same score as a month ago.

Super District Round 1 Results (T,X,M,H)
Not really an elitist mentality, its freaking common sense. Isn't it obvious that Trinity, St. X, and Manual/Male have been the three best teams in 6A the last five seasons? I don't think that is arguable, the only other consideration would be Simon Kenton in 2009, but that is it. He did not validate any need for the KHSAA, he's actually shown how they've continually screwed it up. First, they allow every team to make the playoffs, which is a joke. Second, they put Trinity and St. X in the same district, which is a joke. Third, they align the bracket every other year (prior to this year) so that the Louisville schools knock each other out early so that the clearly over-matched county schools can make the semi-finals and finals only to get blown out in the first half by the remaining Louisville power. Why on Earth should those 3-4 teams play each other early, when they are clearly the best? It's a terrible institutional flaw that the KHSAA has set up. The complaints came in that Trinity and St. X made the finals every year...because they are the two best teams! Do the county teams complain enough so Scott County, Ryle, and Simon Kenton can say they at least made the finals and got blown out 49-0? So don't get offended when someone mention's Hee-Haw county making the finals, but it is literally a joke and they do not deserve to be there.

Trinity 72 Simon Kenton 0
This is not directed at any SK fan specifically, but how come everytime Trinity and Simon Kenton lace 'em up there is an SK fan complaining about something that Trinity or its fans did during the game? Its quite remarkable.

Trinity ranked as #50 in ESPN Preseason Top 50
When he "didn't have to"? They were in the same district, he couldn't avoid them even if he wanted to. If he liked to play "the best" then Ballard would play Trinity this year, no excuses aside from the fact that they hate to see Trinity stepping outside of the football world to become good.

Trinity-Louisville 2011/2012
As far as team is concerned, their 2005 team was probably the best "team" they have ever had. They fell short to a very talented Ballard squad in semi-finals of the regionals. This year they definitely have a shot to surpass the 2005 squad because of their guard play and length.
