To much negativity on here for the young men who go out each Friday and Saturday then read such crap about how they played. NCC has had a rugged schedule and now starts District 2A play this week. I wish them luck and please if you want to be negative go somewhere else or be positive to get these young men back on the right track. JD

Someone asked to compare last years team to this one, I can only say this team of young men have been playing together since Lions Football, Tichenor 7th/8th grade team first one I was told and now Lloyd past 4 years. Great bunch of kids to watch they will make some waves along the way. It will be interesting to see who will come out on top with NewCath, Lloyd, Newport and Holy Cross, they will turn it around once in District. What has changed in Erlanger is the Coaching the Tichenor kids are getting at the 7th/8th grade level. Good Luck JUGG'S!!!!!!!!!! JD

I will give two good reason's why they should be good Dominic and Demetri Joseph my two adopted son's. Not really I treat them like they are two special young men who entered my life several years ago and we have been good friends ever since. I wish you both the best of luck this coming season. JD

I really have no dog in this fight but would give my 2 cents anyway. I understand how Raceland family feels but two wrongs don't make a right and if I am not mistaking the new Russell coach is Racelands former coach. It seems as though the two coaches know what they can do with these two programs and it would benefit each other to play due to scheduling issues and preparing each other down the road for playoffs. Also keep in mine Raceland and Russell are not that far away from each other and the kids probably love the bragging rights. Well from a Raceland fan from Erlanger I gave my 2 cents and that is probably what is really worth. Good Luck Raceland in 2014. JD

Oldrambler thank you and I really do plan to be at this first game and Little Ram thanks for letting me know it is at East and not West been to both many times when I coached and scouted for Lloyd High School. I have known Coach for along time and he is like family to me since his Uncle Randy Cooper was my brother in law. I have always been treated great when I traveled down the AA Highway to scout back in the day and will be nice to visit again. Congrats to Coach Salmons and Raceland Rams Football Players and Family. I just heard about this from my wife and niece this week and I am so proud of Coach Salmons and his family. I know his uncle "Coop Dog" would be very proud and again will definitely be on the scoreboard for everyone of Racelands football games. I hope to make the trip down in August to see his first game as a head coach. Good Luck to my Raceland Rams family and friends JD.

To my Raceland family and friends I have been away for awhile actually since the end of the State Football games just needed a little time away Congrats on your new coach and I think he will do a fine job at Raceland as I know his heart will definitely be there. Back in the 70's they weren't shabby either. Ever since coming back to Northern Kentucky they have had a very successful season each and every year. Not saying they have won State Championships but go back and look what they have done since joining NKY Football. Yes I agree with Lawnboy13 not bad for the little ole school on the "HILL". JD

Congrats Jason he is a hard working young man. Had the pleasure of coaching against him when he played peewee for Dayton and I coach Erlanger Lions. Good luck and congrats again. JD

Early on in July and August 3 hours to get everything in, as the season gets started and kids should be in good conditioning shape I would say 2 hours at the most. After that kids lose interest and need to move on. Just my opinion. JD

If you are a fan and follow your team religiously I don't think Highlands should pay for the fans to travel to Bowling Green. I know if you are a Highlands fan you almost go every year however, I wished I had that problem over the years. Why not bring it to NKY and play at Paul Brown. It is just a bridge away from NKY. JD

I love it when teams fly under the radar, NCC you may want to hand this trophy to them before the game starts. I hope they DeSales continues to think they are better they must be good or they would not be there. There is a reason why they play the games. I will stick with NewCath as I have all year with the schedule they play each and every year they get better by year end. Good Luck NewCath and bring it back to NKY. JD

My only comment is that someone from Williamsburg said they let teams get ahead of them and then the 2nd half they put it on you. Well I have seen this Mayfield team and I for sure would not let them get to far ahead of you because they are a tremendous 2nd half team themselves. If they put together both halves look out they could beat anyone. JD

Congrats to Mayfield and good luck next week in Bowling Green. Your program is one of the most dominating programs in Kentucky and yes the State Championship must go through Mayfield. Again Good Luck and safe travels. JD

Congrats to Williamsburg on the win. Raceland Rams you have nothing to hang your head down about. A great season and some great events this year at Raceland. First ever Regional Championship, 500th win for the school and several players made the all Eastern Ky High School Football awards that I read. Pretty good season if you asked me. Congrats again to both teams for making it this far. JD

Congrats to NewCath Coaches, players, cheerleaders and Lawnboy13 of course. And thanks for showing them a good time in NKY and what we can provide for a good time and hospitality.
