I've seen Mayfield be up 56-0 at the half on several teams. Guess what the score was at the end of the game? 56-0. Sometimes you don't wanna humiliate the other coaches and the kids. It might come back to haunt you.

Just two years ago Mayfield was #1 through 6 weeks then they imploded. I guess most people think if teams like Bwood or Mayfield aren't in the top 2 or 3 then they have been away. I don't look for an implosion from this bunch. Mayfield is ranked about right at #2 at this point.

Rockets are playing well

Mayfield looked sharp in the 1st half. They went to cruise control in the 2nd and had a 21-0 lead with about 8 minutes to go in the game. Tilghman never quit and had 2 big plays which was about all they did the whole night.

Johnathon Jackson had 19 tackles against Trousdale County Tenn. last week.

Johnathon Jackson of Mayfield plays like a veteran. He fits in perfectly. When he is a junior he will be a beast. He is not by a long shot your typical freshman. His upside has no ceiling at this point.

The Falcons are the real deal. I pull for most wky teams and they are one of them.

Normally I'd say "the Wood" might be the team to beat. Not this year. I predict very confidently some other team is going to win 1A in 09.

Mayfield is very strong offensively. If the defense starts matching the offense then they might have something. The goal for all these teams is to improve their weak points every week and hopefully you'll get to Bowling Green.

Mayfield cant overlook anyone. Critt will be for home field through out the playoffs. Thats enough said.

Mayfield looks like an offensive dynomo. Giving up 40 pts is alot but Trousdale is a heck of a team. I believe the defense will get better and we will be one tough team come November.

I like Mayfield against anyone in 1A. Tough loss for Bwood. Bwood will be a tough out for any 1A school but I see someone else winning 1A.

Trousdale coming off 15-0 season and returning lots of players. Mayfield looked very impressive against a weak Marshall Co. Team last friday. Win or lose I look for this to tell the tale about this Cardinal team. Mayfield has more weapons than I have seen in many years, maybe ever. If the defense can pull through maybe we can pull this out. Trousdale could be the best team we play this season. They have Max preps ranking of #9 overall in the state of Tennesee. Any other comments or views?

Looking for Mayfield to be much better and focused this season. They could go very deep.

He coached the line. I know his players really liked him. Its a good rehire.

Mayfield might be better than you think. The athletes are there, it's just getting them playing together.
