Crunch-time, you might be right but it did happen. Nobody will overlook Beechwood, I assure you. I also would bet Beechwood has gotten better as the season has moved on. Besides, what else are we going to talk about?

To this point LCA has played teams with a combined record of 40-41 with a narrow 28-27 victory over a 3-6 team. Mayfield has played teams with a 33-47 record with a victory over the current class 2A Tenn. state champ who has just 1 defeat. Beechwood has played teams that have a 41 -40 record and Beechwood has been shelled in three games. I know all these records are out the door come the playoffs but I dont see how LCA is just a clear choice for being the #1 ranked team to this point. I believe if some of the panel took a harder look them it wouldnt be that Mayfield gets just 1 vote.

Scribe, have you seen Mayfield , LCA or BWood play in person ? With you being in the minority on this board, why do you have Mayfield #1 over LCA ? Not very many on this board (from what I can tell) think Mayfield can beat LCA. I also think BWood is very dangerous.

I said many weeks ago, its either LCA, Mayfield or Bwood. I dont think any other team can win the title. Maybe another team could upset one of these but I dont think any other team could beat two of these three teams.

Was some of the gap closed this week between #1 and #2 ? Plus what kinda gap is there between #'s 1 ,2, and 3 ?
