I usually don’t withdraw often either but I had some nice wins and I’m leaving for vacation today, so I figured a few hundred extra $’s would be nice to have. After doing a quick google search, there have been many complaints about BetMGM and slow payouts (although there a some that say they payout quickly). Anyway, I can’t maintain 4 sites, so this gives me a reason to cut at least one. Ultimately, I think I’m going probably just stick with FD and DK because I’m familiar with them, and I’ve had nothing but a good experience with them over the last 10 years of daily fantasy play.

Anyone else having an issue with withdrawals? BetMGM hasn’t processed my request from Sunday. Customer service said there is a known issue they are trying to fix. FD, Dk and Caesars paid out within a couple hours. Looks like I know which site I’m not going to be using.

Yes, they are fun. And so far profitable.

Some of them looked really good....the 4 way I hit was a pre-created one. But I would agree, they were created for a reason. But really all parlay and teaser bets are sucker bets.

Had a pretty good weekend. Hit a couple straight bets on Saturday (UK, Michigan, and Notre Dame), but no parlays. Plus had the no brainer UK bet and Bengals bet on FD/DK (only the Bengals on DK because I was locked out of DK until yesterday). Had a $25 insured cash bet and $25 bonus bet for a $536 payout. 4 way parlay 49ers to win McCaffery 75+ rushing yards McCaffery any td scorer Purdy 250+ passing yards $25 insured bet, paid $125. Overall cashed just under $1000. Took advantage of all the bonus/insured action I could across DK, FD, MGM and Ceasars (didn't get bonus bets in FD or DK because I got those last year in Ohio). Couldn't get into Bet365 for some reason. I'll probably cut down to just a couple sites....had a hard time keeping track of everything, and all the sites were a little hard for me to navigate but I'm sure that will get better as time goes. Pretty happy with the results and a much needed cash boost before heading on vacation to Florida tomorrow.

Not to mention it's very difficult for defenses to get really good looks in practice at game speed due to lack of depth. Teams with more depth and fewer two-way players certainly have an advantage in this regard.

I think modern, ever-evolving passing-oriented offenses that are run up-tempo combined with smaller rosters/less depth (as kids are choosing to play other sports/not play football) are part of the reasons why you're seeing higher scoring. The run-heavy days that bleed the clock are gone, along with the low scoring that came with that style. You've also got much better playing surfaces with turf that are immune to bad weather and poor late season condition that we used to see with natural surfaces.

Holmes is not very good. Cov Cath did well to keep the score at 61-0.

So far I'm the high scorer in both leagues I'm in. Nice turnaround from last week in my big money league when I was the low scorer. That's even with leaving Puka Nacua and Josh Reynolds on the bench. It looks like Puka might be for real as he's getting a ton of targets.

I'm pretty sure 8th graders cannot compete against Juniors in Football. So if Highlands was planning on playing any juniors in the JV game, Beechwood's 8th graders would not be able to participate.

In two leagues. The highest scorer for the week even with Tee Higgins pulling a zero in one league, and the lowest scorer in my other league, with Dallas Goedert scoring zero and Lamar finishing with a whopping 5 points.

I think it's fine for PA announcers to show some excitement. The hometown "first down" or showing excitement during a score or big play is fine as long as it's not over the top, drawn out, or happening during the play. Otherwise, though, stick to who carried/caught the ball, made the tackle, etc. Basically, say what just happened and down and distance and move on. No commentary is necessary.

I don't know that it's twice as good as DirecTv was, but even if the service was similar, the money I'm saving makes it well worth it.

If you're going to class it, you'll have to class it like other sports, by student population. Established vs unestablished is way too subjective. I also don't believe people not wanting to play X or T will prevent kids from signing up or schools starting programs. Boys swimming is doing just fine even though X has won just about every state title. And nobody quit playing football when teams like Highlands or Trinity were winning all the state titles. Lacrosse will continue to grow in the large population areas of the state, but I'm not sure you'll ever see it take off in the rural areas. But if there is a demand, schools will certainly add it. I don't think any of the issues you mentioned will stop AD's from adding the sport if there is a demand for it.

Would the other 3 high schools be able to accommodate an additional 400+ students if Boone were closed in this scenario? And what about future growth in the county? The population in Boone county isn't going to start shrinking or even remain flat.

School choice would be a possible answer if all things were equal. The problem is many, many students still won’t have a “choice” due to family, transportation or socioeconomic situations. What happens then is those students won’t have the same opportunities afforded those who can actually chose. We’ve seen this play out somewhat in Jefferson County.

I don't think so either. And even if it was, people would still be trying to avoid sending their kids there even if their kids were flagged as needing to go there. The thing that needs to be kept in mind is that public schools are designed and intended as educational/academic institutions, not necessarily be sports powers. So assembling schools and corresponding populations in the interest of building football powers probably isn't in the best interest of ALL students. And while sports are certainly part of the high school experience, they certainly shouldn't be the end-all goal for a public school system. Boone County chose to build more schools to accommodate the growing population over expansion to provide a better academic experience. Not only that it does also create more opportunity for more students in extracurricular activities. The reality is, that option probably is better for the population of Boone County as a whole, even if it means the football/sports teams might end up less competitive. I come from a school that is larger than any school in Kentucky...we had 70 players on our Freshman team and over 100 on the varsity roster. There were very good athletes who could have played at a small school that literally never saw the field in their 4-year career. I don't think a couple of super big schools in Boone County and a Spec Ed school would be the best option, even if they competed for and won state championships on a regular basis.

Yep. This didn't suddenly change with the change in enforcement of DPI. Regardless of whether you get an automatic first down or not, DPI has always been a better option than giving up 6 points. And really, I don't think you'll suddenly see teams taking holding penalties to protect field position. Too much going on and to keep track of for offensive players (you'll need to know where the QB is, what the LOS was, and where you are at) all to save a few yards. There aren't that many situations where QB's are getting sacked more than 10 yards behind the LOS anyway, unless it's related to a bad snap, or fumble.

I know. I'm at least locked in at 1 gb (which is twice as fast as I had with spectrum) for about $20 less than I had with Spectrum. I'll cross the raising price bridge when it comes up in 3 years.

I had my gutters replaced about 6 years ago. All I know is that in the 4 or 5 months my gutters were in bad shape, the runoff of my roof almost destroyed my landscaping in front of my house. The dripping and running water during even a light rainstorm was incredibly annoying. I probably overpaid for my gutters (I used Gutter Magician), but I will say it has been one of the best home maintenance investments I've made in 23 years of owning my home.
