  1. Walker didn't go low he was fully extended with feet planted. He was trying to catch a pass. He never saw the guy coming. ....Yes I have played the game ... You ?
  2. I was there too. I watched he play. It was borderline then .l I watched the film. I have made my point
  3. Whining ? Go watch the film. ......You'll find me to be very fair and to give credit where credit is due. ...the results of the game are the least of my worries ....You don't lead with your head into somebody's knees PERIOD..... That stands out......I have no issues with respect, or liking each other... All that...... The trinity backer could have knocked his jar loose and caused a concussion... That is acceptable.....causing a potentially career ending injury IS NOT
  4. I heard Hathcer is fine tweaked ankle that was already tweaked Walker not so fine. Tackler lead with head-DIRECTLY AT HIS KNEES. A few stitches in left knee... right knee is sprained mcl. Really unnecessary and defenseless hit Probably a quarter inch away from some serious stuff . Are they teaching that at rock nation ??.
  5. I wasn't a part of the original beauty contest remarks, but.........I don't think you know what your talking about Walker was limited after a vicious hit in the mid second quarter when trey wright flew in like a bullet (unouched of course)and took out his knees. He had to get stitches in his left knee and sufferered a strained right knee. He only touched the ball 3-4 times afterward and sat the rest if the game. 13-58 yards Dawkins was his usual solid self. He slashes and churns and runs very hard. Two tds and 128 yards was about what I expected
  6. Sorry if I hit a nerve. iam sorry for your loss and should have been a bit more senstive before posting. I too am a big supporter of breast cancer awareness and contribute quite a bit of money to the local cause. I guess the visual just stuck me as odd. I am all about the cause, wearing pink for support, etc. I hope you accept my apoligy, as there are few things more important than beating cancer....
  7. As far as the comparisons go, Quick is on another planet, and neither Dawkins or Walker are on that one. It is tough to compare players, because Dawkins and Walker are totally different. Dawkins is a year older and wiser and faster. Walker is a pounder, but has break away speed. As far as team comparisons go. High School Football is a great equalizer. Coaching makes up for about 80% of what goes down on the field. While Trinity has not won against their current schedule by 2011 margins, they are clearly the team to beat. I do not agree that any team Trinity has faced would just simply beat the Tigers. I think the Moeller game was a good barometer, but remember whom is standing on the sidelines coaching both squads.
  8. I'm hearing trinity is wearing pink jerseys. No, I am not making a statement or making his up...... I hope it's not true....
  9. If the X line can put it together for four quarters this WILL be a game !!
  10. Sounds like some foolish words for a kid that seldom gets in......oh well......I cant see much changing from last years debacles unless Glaser and patty change things up. They won't , but I expect a closer match up. Trinity's offensive line will struggle a bit, but the big play makers are still there. I say 7-0 tigers in the first quarter on a fumble sack returned for td......then huge thunderstorms and game suspended not replayed. TIGERS WIN !!!!! TIGERS WIN!!!!
  11. What happened was a steady dose of chitwood. You know, run it against 10 in the box, click your heels and say "uncle mike, there is no place like home, there's no place like home".....then you wake up and it was all just a dream.........snore........snore.......snore......roll o ER.......snore......
  12. We are wearing the Yellers tonight IF Central is smart ( and I think they are) and if they watched any film on the Bowling Green game, then I expect a battle. Similar styles with smarming defenses. St. X can control the line and ball, but has to be more creative on Offense.T Last year, Central had ACE WALES... St. X was playing at their place with Gahafer in his first game as a starter. I like the Tigers: At Home....Wearing Yeller Feller Uniforms.... 35-14..... if and only if, Chitwood and Glaser are smart enough to spread it around early to loosen up the Central D. Otherwise, expect a come to Jesus last second game, just like last year.
  13. No truth to that. Somebody was wearing green colored glasses with that remark. X outplayed them big time in the third and fourth quarters. Moeller had their starters in the whole game. They were Really lucky to hang on. X's play calling after the onside kick once again did them in Watkins being out in he second half may have helped equalize things but the backup was a shifty fireplug that was tough to find and bring down. Watkins is the real deal.
  14. No sprained ankle. Back up was just as effective. When x learns to tackle we will be fine. Club urn the only stud out there
  15. I have been told the kids are jazzed up and the student body will be there in large numbers
  16. It is a travesty. Its simply a sign of poor organizational skills. Many submit inaccurate info or no info at all. How can the khsaa expect to develop trends and analyze anything with bad info ! This is where college recruiters traditionally start vetting kids as well. No excuse at any level. I assure there are plenty of parents willing to step up
  17. The game will be broadcast in Louisville on 1080 a.m. I believe. I know the Bisig Impact Group team of broadcasters is heading down to the game to telecast live.
  18. Amen to this ! Perfectly stated. A complete game will be necessary on Friday to guarantee a tigers victory. The QB can throw the ball, but when he is yanked out of scrimmages and runaway wins so that the 2 can get his reps, then you can't expect him to perform in big games. It is his first year as a starter and you would think he needs as many reps as possible Glaser will have to open it up more on Friday if he expects to walk out with a win by any margin!
  19. Good posts by all. So far the Purples are showing signs of a young, energetic and athletic team. They score in bunches and I think that they can score on St. X. The tigers have yet to play a complete game and looked sloppy after half time against Dutch Fork all the way around. If St. X comes out and plays 4 quarters of solid ball, I think that they take this one 31-14. A couple of turnovers, or more sloppy play, do not rule out a Purples win !!
  20. Charles Walker carried for two touchdowns with two other TDS called back – one on a kickoff and one on a run both to unnecessary roughness. Walker finished with 170 yards on 16 carries but went out of the game in the third quarter because of a concussion. Treyveon Percell also added 100 yds on the ground with 2 tds along with Davis with 63yds and 1 td. All tests negative. no concussion. Just sever dehydration with heat and running 200 yards or nothing with silly penalites. He will be 100% ready for bowling green. Good luck purples
  21. Biggest and most physical high school team I have seen. EVER..... Great game and with all odds stacked against th tigers a really good (not pretty) win
  22. This one is hard to predict for sure. I have watched film on Dutch Fork, and they are big and physical on both sides of the ball. Offensively, they appear to like to test the CB's and throw short routes. Tailback is a scatback, not real big but fast. It will be hard to run up the middle against their size. I normally do not think of X as a speed team, but this year they have the tools to run it outside and try to outrun the defense. On paper, Dutch Fork does not look to be as talented as the 2011 Riverdale team that St. X played (and lost to). That Riverdale team was talented, and it took X 2 quarters to figure them out. I expect more from X this year and like this score pick above. I think X draws away at the end and puts a much needed W on their record.
  23. Agree-Trinity 1-St. Xavier is a clear 2 IMO. Lexington teams needs to be considered in the top 10. I like Ballard and Eastern more than Manual and Male (sorry)
  24. #5 rated ths year in sc division 4 a. Which is the highest
  25. Manual will be down having graduated most of their o line and defense. Central will be too tough in his one central 26-9
