Question G, Who is responsible to summit these stats? Coach, AD?

In the case of Bardstown, I can tell you that it is primarily a question of manpower. The head football coach also paints/stripes his own field and does his own fundraising, the guy doing stats is a retiree, the head coach of the middle school team doubles as the camera man for the varisty, there are just too many jobs and too few people/time, and stats are not a priority. Typically, they will turn them in about every quarter season.

God bless David Clark. He's always been a great guy. Love that dude.

I have to wonder if some coaches don't submit stats because they are not worth submitting?

It is a travesty. Its simply a sign of poor organizational skills. Many submit inaccurate info or no info at all. How can the khsaa expect to develop trends and analyze anything with bad info ! This is where college recruiters traditionally start vetting kids as well. No excuse at any level. I assure there are plenty of parents willing to step up

I wouldn't go that far but to each his own.

Do some schools no want this information out there? How important is it to the KHSAA to have this info readily available? Couldn't they levy a fine against he offending schools as a measure to get the stats in a timely manner?

I wrote the KHSAA a couple of years ago, questioning why a certain team never posted stats to the KHSAA web page. In a return reply, I was informed that Bridgett Voorhies never was concerned about it but that was going to change with the changing of the guard.

To think in this day and age of HUDL films and the number of films you can get on teams rather easily, that by not posting stats on your players, it is going to hurt your opponent, is just plain silly.

Then again, some teams try to post accurate or rather close to accurate numbers but others as was noted in another thread, well.......

I know that volunteers do it for the different CovCath teams for both the Enquirer and KHSAA after each game. Really not that hard to do and it doesn't take that much time, if you keep up with it.

Bardstown has twice as much manpower as Bethlehem, yet the Eagles submit their stats. There's more to it than your explanation, and it comes from a desire to be mysterious on the part of the Tiger program.

Stats are critical to the college recruiting process. They should be out there.

This is a pet peeve of mine. If you are going to have a website (whether school, business, church, etc), then MAINTAIN that site and REQUIRE that information be submitted to maintain that site/link. If you are not going to maintain it accurately, then close the site/link down.

Raceland does, but they are not on your list:

It isn't Guru list but the KHSAA list. My guess and please remember it is my guess but the KHSAA has a dead line of posting your stats for each week and maybe just maybe that is why Raceland isn't on the list!
