St. Xavier Insider- Week 8
Great job AT. Looks like your pen is getting heavy, and rightfully so.........if we had taken bets on August 15th on the Tigers record being 4-4 at this juncture, how much would We have won ? What would have happened if Coach G had not been forced out ? What would have happened if the Nagle family had decided to move to Egypt instead of here ? What would have happened if our new leaders had told them to enroll on Shelbyville Road ? No looking back now.......we just have to be positive and tell the boys to do it for themselves now ! We are getting healthy again, that is a positive after this week ! I still have faith !

"Everyone on that side of the bracket is playing for second place." - All Tell
The timing of this injury could not have been worse as it occurred right before District play, but he has been Cleared to play. Back at practice today. Full pads.... Deep thigh bruise. 2-3 week affect and he is coming up on week 3 anniversary. He will be in the lineup Friday and I would expect him to see considerable action

St. Xavier @ Manual
Looking more and more like Big Walk back in the lineup too !!!! 6-2 right now (with losses to BG and Moeller) was remote, but expected. I am agreeing with this post 100% with a much needed off week next week. Glass half full all of a sudden. The sun came out today and I just heard that we have another 17 Billion years until life on earth ends !

Trinity at Male predictions
Having seen them both, I like this matchup. This could be Male's year This will be a great game to watch
-
Male 44 St. Xavier 40
That is the same as a 4-3, with a bandit. That would actually work well here too

Male 44 St. Xavier 40
And we have a winner! This is not coach Walsh's deal. Yet another Pro to High School burp change brought in by the current staff. X can't cover the flats or the deep ball Pass rush is slow to develop because all interior line is doubled up. Bring in an easily scouted blitz every play and nothing about it works. 8 games in and a 4-4 record Let Walsh go back to what these kids have done since freshman year and he may be able to salvage something

Sources say Browning Nagle has left St. Xavier program
Amen to this! You hit the nail on the head. This is absolute debacle! Trust me from someone that would know

St. Xavier Insider- Week 7
Good thing is that it has been looked at by every known means to medicine (X-Ray, Doppler, MRI and Ultrasound) and no bone bruise or permanent damage. Bad thing is that it is deep and requires PT and rest. This is a minimum of a 2 week deal, and you are correct, can sometimes take 3-4. Expectations are high that he will be back next Friday, but we shall have to wait and see.

Male @ St. Xavier
Nobody has commented on my avatar depicting Perry Sangalli, Alan Donhoff and Will Wolford. Kind of disappointing that I have to bring it to everyones attention.

Male @ St. Xavier
Yes, he started back yesterday. No equipment yet. Just jogging. Getting better every day, but slow process. Deep thigh bruises hurt like the devil and really just a matter of time You really can't feel your thigh muscles until they decide to start working again

Trinity 29 St. Xavier 17
Random thoughts as you rightly pound your claim to a stick: Based upon what I saw last night, Trinity is the third best team X has faced. Trinity might say the same....don't know ..they may say 4th Trinity players are much better coached by a long shot. Defense stays in their gaps, and remains disciplined. Offense hums with precision You are forewarned------Walker may be the best back in the State, but you will have to ask Big Mo and Purple fans. He plays at another speed and would have made a big, big difference. No crack on Davis, but they are totally different players I do hope for a rematch later this year... Both teams will be better, and hopefully fully loaded

The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?
Well, you know.... I suppose it does>>> UofL got Kragthorped...... St. X got Nagled......

The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?
This would be most disheartening if you ask me. Daddy ball at its finest. There is absolutely no reason with Nagle should start other than this.

The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?
Personal Opinion: If Nagle starts the game Friday, I think he loses this whole team. He has to stick with Houk, who really baled him out of a Loss at Central. that whole game plan was odd enough to begin with , but you cant go backward..

The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?
I agree 100% !!!!!!! 5.5 games is enough..........Time to go forward.

The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?
Speaking of Rain.... Did you see where Cincy X had a whopping 40 yards of TOTAL RUSHING on 28 Carries against Moeller last week.... Hmmm..... kind of makes Walker's 248 look pretty good. I will take the Tigers in a grind it out affair.

The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?
What he said. 5 1/2 games is plenty of time to give to your QB to prove himself. It ain't there .....period......all deals are off. Maybe the playbook gives itself a chance starting Friday. .?...?.::idunno:

St. Xavier 27 Central 13
GAME SUMMARY Houk looked real good. Looked poised and confident out there with the 1's Davis sat out first half for disciplinary reasons. Then played well second half Walker took an absolute cheap shot to the thigh after an X punt and could not contribute thereafter. Should have been a personal foul Thigh bruise but should be fine by next Friday Line play was lethargic and pretty much pathetic IMO From what I have witnessed, Nagle is not the second best QB on this team Defense needs to change back to the 4-3 with speed on the ends and any problems go away
-
St. Xavier / Central (predictions)
I think the season starts over this week for the Tigers. I can't see Central keeping it real close if they have already struggled against Manual. I say Tigers score early and often. 34-16
-
Moeller (OH) 24 St. Xavier 12
Amen here in the two games with losses, this is exactly what has happened. Nothing Wrong with Glaser ball if you have the livestock
-
Moeller (OH) 24 St. Xavier 12
Because the last team with he ball was going to win if X had just stayed the course and punched it in
-
Moeller (OH) 24 St. Xavier 12
"Would have been much worse if it wasn't for he weather". Really :idunno: what are you saying here . Would have been much worse. You obviously did not see he game or pay attention X had balln3rd and goal with 5 mins left and should have punched it in if the play call had one better. 6 point spread with an onside kick would have been quite interesting
