The Rivalry: St. Xavier vs. Trinity. Who wins and why?

THE RIVALRY is this week. Who wins and why.

 

Trinity had a nice win Friday BUT gave up a big lead and had to hang on.

 

St. X also had a win but definitely has the makings of a controversy brewing (not that I would fan the flames or anything :smug: ).

 

How does this game play out?

What he said. 5 1/2 games is plenty of time to give to your QB to prove himself. It ain't there .....period......all deals are off.

 

Maybe the playbook gives itself a chance starting Friday. .?...?.::idunno:

Maybe there's no controversy on here but there's no way that the tension factor inside the Tiger fortress isn't sky high.

While I would love to see a great game that goes down to the wire....not gonna happen!

The defensive backfields are the weakest links. Trinity QB will exploit the opposition by running or passing the ball. Trinity's run defense is good enough to hold the Tigers on a few series. A one point victory is as valuable as a 40 point win.

At this point I'm leaning toward T, but I'll have complete thoughts on this years game in the days to come.

Noah houk passed for 142 yards and two tds last night in about 2 and a half quarters of football. I believe the offense has found what they were missing. I also believe this team has a better connection with Noah.

I have no clue how this game is going to turn out. I know one of T's best teams in history was a victim of both Davis and walker at times, so that bodes well. I also know T has one of the best Qbs in state who is also a dynamic player himself. Which ever defense shows up is the team that will win the game. I have confidence in the tiger d until Bonnafon pulls the ball down and takes off. I also have confidence in the offense if Noah is at the helm, so with that being said ill wait until about Thursday when I find out who the starter is to name a score.

Good luck to T though, I hope neither team suffers any injuries.

T beat a tough, well coached, quality football team last night. I think they are more than ready for Friday night. The second season begins.

It will be considered an upset to the majority of people on BGP since everyone is down on X after BG beat them. I'm not sold that it should be an upset if St. X wins.
