2 QBs. 2 QB fathers on the coaching staff (3 if you count the Breits). Home life for the coach who's son doesn't get the nod could be interesting.

Let's add this pachyderm to the cubicle. If Houk starts and X loses how does that affect the chemistry of the team and staff? Will there be what ifs from Nagel and his supporters?

Actually 3 QB's and 3 dads.....one is the JV starter.

If I'm getting the gist of what you're saying here and in your weekly X report the players did and will play better if Hauk is starting even though the coaches might think Nagle should be starting. Sure sounds like the players are running the show to me.

Come on man....I like ruffling the fur (pun intended)....but you're poking just to be poking......this is a unique issue, no doubt. My gut says the kids would like for Noah to start, he's been with them since their beginning, at X. Nagle came in with the new staff, and has the measurables, but lacks a bit on the mental side of the game (not knocking, just based upon current performance).....Wolford has made some questionable calls as head coach.......Browning on staff....two other QB dads on staff...play calling......player substitutions or lack thereof.....

If Nagle starts, it will be what the staff wants. The kids' effort will not be compromised........there's too much at stake....

I say Noah starts......and Browning is gone after the season.

The players always run the show on the field. You didn't know?

So if players aren't happy with a coaching decision they will reflect that in how they play...WOW.

I don't know where you got that sentiment, but run with it if you like; or maybe you could just reference the post where I said it'll reflect in how they play.

I don't think there's been many score predictions in this "prediction thread". Anyone want to voice their score prediction? If anyone has one that is.

^ Ease UP TD. I know you ride the fence and seem to be more green and white than green and gold and thats OK. No issue here. Enjoy the game.

I am good and just responding back to your post. This post is even better than the first post. :lol2::lol2:

Now back to the game. Again I think T wins.

Wasn't it only a couple of months ago that the X camp was so giddy when they announced on this site that the Nagle's were coming? Looks like things have changed.

Does the Nagel situation have any comparison to the Kragthorpe one back in '09?

Thread after the game will quickly turn into Highlands winning somehow. So ill go ahead and take the birds by 2 Tds over T and X in this one!

Good to know we have permanent residence in your head.

Not really. Young Kragthorpe was going through a really tough time, but it was his Dad that was getting most of the hassle and he was feeling the pressure the whole family was under. He also had injury issues to deal with. I do think that off field pressure may have affected his performance on the field. I was happy to hear that he had a good senior year at his new school.

I would think that the St. X staff would be under quite a bit of pressure to play the Houk kid. If St. X loses the game with Nagle at the helm the whole way, it could mean that the whole season implodes. The only way I see Nagle NOT being criticized is if St. X wins convincingly and he plays well (barring something like Houk starting and getting hurt, but even then people would probably say, "what if we had Houk healthy"). I just think it's basically a no-win situation if you start Nagle given the game last week. I think the staff knew of the potential ripple effect and wanted to get Houk some reps before the game. That's just me though.

Well, you know.... I suppose it does>>> UofL got Kragthorped...... St. X got Nagled......

How do you get tickets for the Brown & Williamson or PNC clubs for this game?
