No one is disputing the fact that SW kids had to play. Imo the issue is at what point do you call of the dogs off? Listen there is no reason to beat an outmanned team like this. When a game get's to certain point be reasonable. 109-21, really c'mon, no excuse to do this to a five man team with two seniors, two eight graders, and 1 seventh grader.

There is no right or wrong way to hire a football coach as long as they are not violating any rules...sometimes soneone from the inside is good sometimes it is not....if the Supt and Principal has someone in mind go for it....Cater was an assitant at Bell County and that did not work out....I agree I would want as many application as possible but ......

No surprise...many people felt he came to SW on Dale's staff to eventually take over anyway...he did a good job in Casey County his last few years...I think SW was a talented team and not sure he did anything that people did not think SW was capable of doing, however, considering the circumstances he was under and the way he kept the staff and team together was impressive....not sure many coaches could have done that...He deserves the job, but next year will really show everyone where is true coaching talents lie....Good hire he deserved it for sure...

If anyone knows for sure let us know...the worst thing that can happen is for this behavior be ignored....I believe in accountability, people make mistakes... not sure he should get fired but he needs be held accountable and recieve some kind of punishment.....what would they do if a a student did that....

Jackson has great potential....unfortunately in small counties like Jackson there is usually alot of politics and jobs usually go to insiders...they tried with an outsider with Coach Carter and it did not work out so well....best luck to them with there new coach...

I can understand the emotion of a big game but to do that with your finger to refs and opposing fans is garbage and embarrasing for the program, especially after such a great run for the SW fans and kids. SELFISH coach he should be ashamed of himself.

BINGO ....my point exactly...it is all about the community and parents supporting it....if your community and parents support it everything else follows...administration support, players who come to practice and make no excuses, coaches who succeed because they are supported by the parents and administrators, etc, etc, etc. developemental leagues are a by product of community and parental support.

It is no surprise private schools do well, they can recruit and if a parent cares enough about their kids to send them to a private school 9 times out of ten they are going to be parents who make sure their kid attends practice and listens to the coach...supportive parents are the key to a programs success, private schools just do not have to deal with some of the challenges public school coaches do, generally...

More is not always better, probably the succes in the program lies in the parental and community support and the accountability that this program seems to have...bottom up....the support of parents and a community can not be underestimated, show me a good program that does not have a community that absolutely loves football and have parents that demand the most of their kids....Ft. Thomas is a football crazed town and their parents hold their kids accountable....kids grow up dreaming about playing football and they know they have to work harder than the next kid if they want to make the cut...the communities support of football forces kids to give everything they have to be better, communities with poor football programs have no community support and very little parental support. This I believe sets HH apart....

Thought SW would be more competitive than this.....I am sorry to hear about what the Def Coord did...hope it does not taint the wonderful ride the SW team had after the most difficult of circumstances...this coach was selfish to do this if it is true....you don't give the bird to fans and refs when your leading young men and a program...

I am fairly surprised by this one....can't remember the last time Somerset was beaten this badly....HC must be the real deal....really thought this was the BJ's year after NCC got knocked out.....

Central wins easily, not because Belfry is not good but because Central is just freakishly good. Wish the best for Belfry though great program led buy a great man.....Central's coach is great man too...

HH wins by any score they want...why, because they are much better.
