The host school gets concessions. Gate money (minus cost of officials) goes to the EKC. -

To be honest, I am not familiar enough with Wheelersburg to know if anyone was missing. I do know they had 3 teams and their 1st team was undefeated until they lost in the championship. Their freshman was suppose to play Fleming's freshman in the championship as well but they didn't play because it was already around 10:30 pm. I thought Greenup and Raceland looked very good. Fleming was fortunate to beat them. Fleming has a relatively young group this year. They only had 1 senior playing yesterday. Their leading returning receiver was not there. In closing, let me say that I am not one of those guys that thinks 7 on 7 is ANY indication of what type of success a team will have once the REAL season starts. They are fun for the kids and helps build timing and experience against other teams number 1's but until you have pads on and add in the linemen, it is not real football.

Fleming County won the tournament at Greenup County on 7-13. They beat Wheelersburg in the championship game. Pretty good night for a young squad.

I am not as close to the program as most, but from what I've seen it is a HUGE loss. Coach Kinner, no doubt, did a good job coaching but he also took care of a lot of behind the scenes things most people don't see.

For now. I'm sure there will be an appeal.

Is the Jenkins job open?

Why would he be out now? Seems like he was working hard. Why wait until now? -
They graduated a big senior class (18) that had been pretty successful. Their younger kids have been successful at the Jv and freshman level, but they will have to grow up quick this season.

Bracken County/Mason County Football
Pick-six replied to One Great Scorer's topic in KY Football (High School)
Why Bracken and Mason? Why not Bracken and Lewis or Fleming? I think people are quick to jump on Mason since they have been a little down lately. I think they will get back on track soon. Bracken has developed into a solid Single A team. -

That rule has changed for this coming season (2018). You can have 2 scrimmages and an open week. -

Not Faraway, but I was told Brian did not retire from being the AD but I believe he is not going to be on the coaching staff this year. -
Mason moved to 3A

Nicholas running the spread would be a huge change. Coach Hopkins is known for smash mouth football!
