I saw some of the foot ball helmet design threads from last season pop back up, so I figured I'd use them to get some discussion going about which helmets are the best designed helmets and best designed logos in the state. I figure we can track things for a few categories:

 

1) Best helmet design.

 

2) Best football helmet logo.

 

3) Best school logo (includes school logos not used on football helmets).

My vote for the best helmet logo goes to the Paris Greyhounds. Next would be a two way tie between the Danville Admirals and Belfry Pirates.

 

I’ve always liked Danville’s helmet the best. It’s an original logo with the state outline, the anchor and the nice silver, blue and white. I bet I’m not the only one with this opinion.

 

There are so many that stick out to me. My favorite logo is probably Paducah Tilghman and my favorite helmet may be Danville. Others that stand out to me are:

That's a clean look but

I used to love the old DeSales Colts uniforms when they modeled the old Baltimore Colts uniform. They should go back to the horseshoe logo on their helmet.

I stuck with current helmet designs for my list, but if we're talking all time helmets, that one would have made the list for sure

 

I'm not even sure how to explain what made this design so great, it just was.
