Oldham County usually has a big tournament. Is Ryle having a tournament this year?

Oldham County has opted out of hosting a tournament this year. Instead they are participating in the E-Town tournament this year.

SK just played 7 on 7 with a bunch of Cincinnati schools st Wyoming high school.

Danville played some 7-on-7 at Mercer County this morning. I believe Mason County and Highlands were the other two teams.

Saw Trinity, Oldham Co., and Frederick Douglass are participating in one at Trinity this evening.

Good competitive pairing.

Good competitive pairing.

Got a report from Oldham Co parent there, who said Frederick Douglass looks like the best team there.

I don't really like to gauge much from 7 on 7's except for the athleticism of the skills. Putting it together on friday nights has so many other factors. But the buzz is that FD stands a chance to be a contender so that statement does not surprise me.

Spring Valley out of Huntington, Wv defeated the Pikeville Panthers in the championship game at the UPIKE 7on7 tourney today. Not a bad showing at all by the Panthers. Spring Valley plays in West Virginia's largest classification.

Monday, July 23 8am - 11 am

Boone County @ Dixie Heights

Fleming County won the tournament at Greenup County on 7-13. They beat Wheelersburg in the championship game. Pretty good night for a young squad.
