Against Scott & Cooper passing game was good. Kremer set a new school record for passing and TD’s in the Copper game. If he is on that is a strength for them providing he has time if the Oline is blocking.

Hopefully the NewCath boys continue with the same kind of tackling on defense it was impressive, offensively do the same things and keep grinding. Hopefully team continues with the discipline shown on Friday night as well.

I don’t know names NewCath #32 RB looked good runs the ball hard #16 QB has a good arm and is mobile, he did throw one interception trying to force a pass Scott RB had one really good run that scored first TD, he has good vision DB had a pick six thrown at around the twenty Both defenses forced turn overs. NewCath DLine looked good lots of penetration multiple downs for losses. Overall think both teams played well for the first JV game

Was kind of slow start for both. They kept grinding and pulled out the win.

In case anyone is not aware what this scrimmage game is raising money for. Catholics versus ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease...... CovCath and NewCath will scrimmage this Friday, August 10 (Kickoff at 7pm) at CovCath in the 2nd annual fundraising event -- to bring awareness to ALS and to support Team B"elieve. Team “B”elieve is an organization that was established to support Brian Eviston and his family financially, emotionally, and spiritually as “B” battles ALS, and also to support the broader ALS community (fund research for a cure and provide services to others affected). Brian is a 1996 graduate of NCC and the brother of Eddie Eviston, current CovCath Head Coach and former NewCath Head Coach. Regular game admission upon entry to the stadium.

This game is also a fund raiser for ALS. It’s being called Catholics vs ALS. As for what we will see think that’s a good question. I think a different NCC team than last year and I’m sure a different CovCath team with the loss of AJ and few others. NCC with all new coaching I’m sure will have some hiccups first time out.

Newport maybe redoing his freshman year.

Maybe around the same as last year or few more. They have new kids coming out and I think some transfers maybe? Really seems to be some excitement about football this year. Think this is close maybe more that I am not aware of. I’m sure trying to find replacement for coach Wynn who went to Newport for head coach spot coach Lickert coach Meadows coach Court coach Trimnell (2) Kelly’s brothers

I think folks maybe surprised. The new staff has the boys fired up and the boys are 100% bought in. The atmosphere is very different than last year for sure....

NewCath has some passing stuff coming up 7/17 @ SK, 7/19 @Holmes, 7/20 @ Walnut Hills, 7/24 @ Highlands & 7/26 @Covcath

Not sure this will matter I don’t think Hambrick is returning to NewCath.

I have seen him in the weight room with the boys. No slack and pushing the boys and very very motivating. I think some of the boys who are doing other sports are in for a shock compared to last year.....lol

He has some in place but last I heard still has some spots to fill.

Not just at the school but staff is working out with the boys. Things are way different than the previous year from what I hear. Lots of excitement

Lickert and staff has the boys fired up and believing. The intensity has been through the roof and the boys are working hard. The schedule is the same as last year just changed locations. Is it going to be easy nope but they have talent and will be ready to play.
