What does Newport Central Catholic need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

They need to get back to NCC football and that is, discipline and hard nose football. In the past NCC didn't hurt themselves and in recent years they hurt themselves with penalty and costly mistakes like personal fouls that kind of stuff rarely happened with Schneider and Eviston. NCC has a rich tradition and I believe Lickert is working on restoring that.

Settle on 1 qb

Thought that was settled midway thru last year? Some folks liked it and some didn’t.

I heard they had a new coach this year!

And lots of new folks on the staff.

I'd think whoever is more mobile will be Lickert's choice.

Kyle Kelly who has several D1 offers should have a great year playing RB and LB.

I agree, that has seemed to be his thing with most starting quarterbacks he has coached.

Key football players

RB/LB Sr. Kyle Kelly 6'2 205

RB/DB So. Brandon Hambrick 5'10 160

RB/LB So. Jamir Ackerson 5'8 170

WR/DB Sr. Aubrey Posey 6'0 150

OL/DL Jr. Max Morgan 6'2 210

QB Jr. Paul Kremer 5'11 170

WR/DB Sr. Hunter Cain 6'0 180

OL/DL Sr. Jayden Lankheit 6'2 245

OL/DL Sr. Robby Wormald 6'0 255

OL/LB Jr. Daniel Craig 6'1 205

What about the Runyon kid? I thought he ran the ball stronger than Hambrick

Not sure this will matter I don’t think Hambrick is returning to NewCath.

Hezekiah Miller will be the other rb with kelly. That boy will be special. You heard it here first.

With the new coaching staff the style for NewCath will look different and they will have many ways to get Kelly the ball. If that happens then it will open up for others to get involved and make an impact.

There going to be scary good this yr.
