Just seen of Chads facebook were he mentioned Charlie Coleman will be helping out this year with coaching and etc...

He was an assistant at Bellevue for a couple seasons while he was attending NKU. He student taught at Dayton and thats when Lickert left and he got to job of Asst. Linebacker coach and Asst. running back coach along with Nick Rice ( Newports Head Coach ). He was also the Froshmore Head Coach, I believe Chad learned alot from Nick Rice and Zack Deaton and has grown as a coach and is ready for the challenge. He is truely liked around the community and has great demeanor about himself which should rub off on his players.

I know of a couple coaches around NKY that applied and am surprised a couple of them haven't been seriously considered.

The enrollment for Holmes dropped so why not move down to the class you belong in? This is pure speculation that Lickert is the coach being referred to in this thread. I know Campbell County tried to get him to come over when the job previously opened when he was at Dayton. Which he turned down obviously we shall see what happens in the coming weeks.

Not trying to get off topic of the thread but what has Daytons record been since he had left? It takes coaching to develop talent and the reason Coach Lickert is a good coach is he surrounds himself with a coaching staff that he trust and believes can help the players. That is why he is a good coach! He's rumored for every coaching vacancy in NKY for a reason, so he must be doing something right.

Seems like some dayton folks are still mad he left, he also had a 6-5 reacord his last year at Dayton. He also played a huge roll in the development of the 07 team that went 8-3.

I watched the game that ended in a score of 47 to 16 and eight of those points scored on the jv. Again missing four starters doesnt help. Coach Lickert called the dawgs off early and kept it respectable.

No, but four starters were out all game. After Scotts first drive they had some trouble moving the ball as the Holmes defensive replacements started to play better.

This one will look like any other district game the Beechies will play!

No I have not seen Conner play but they have a very young team. They lost to Holy Cross and Holy Cross is in a down year, If you went to the Dixie game you would know about all the if's you are talking about about. It was 26-20 Dixie in the fourth when Coach Lickert called a fake punt and did not get the first down. After this play and Dixie having a short field they capitalized and Holmes seemed to just bow out.

Have you seen Holmes play? They are better then Conner by alot!

Peterson for Holmes could not be stopped had around 150 yards recieving and had a great game. I think Pike only missed two throws one interception but that was it he was on point all game, Dixie's O-line is very good. Holmes will be fine and to any of those who think this team is over rated is sadly mistaken.

Newport wins by a 14 plus. Lloyd wont be able to stop what Newport does best which is airing it out. Newport has some real burners on their team, Newport is looking for the two seed in district and Lloyd is just looking for this season to end.
