This Friday night, Holy Cross (4-5) plays Bishop Brossart (6-3) at Scott. Last regular season game of the year. Next year Bishop Brossart moves to 2A in District 6 with NCC, HC, Newport, and Lloyd. How does this matchup look?

Interesting match up here, may be a fun game to watch, two contrasting styles.

I think this is not going to be pretty for the Mustangs. I think Coach KoZ calls of the dogs early, but with C Fuller running, and Jasper and K Fuller catching everything Jerry throws I see some big numbers for the HC offense in the 1st half. I don't think it will be a running clock, but it could be close.

I think both teams will / should rest skill players as game means nothing and no need to risk injury for playoffs. HC has played outstanding this year and should make a nice run in playoffs. They are heavy favorites for sure..

Are all the players going to be there? I heard HC has a senior retreat this weekend.

Heard that HC qb will not be playing friday he will be attending the senior retreat.

Is this something all catholic schools do?

Is this something all catholic schools do?

Yes, at least in NKY. They are mandatory. I know Holy Cross give about 3 choices for senior retreat weekends over the course of a year. Many of these student athletes are multi-sport (including basketball and baseball). In some instances, they have conflicts with all the choices. I heard that one of the other weekends was at the same time as the district basketball tournament. This weekend, Holy Cross is playing a non-district game against Brossart. The Indians are already in the playoffs. This was probably the safest choice for these players.

That is good news for Brossart, If they think they have it hard now wait untill next year in 2 A.

HC will still win the game.

I think you are right.

Why does Brossart think they have it hard now?
