A team of destiny!

I'm really happy for Mason, especially Pig. However, nothing surprises me in this region. I did think Campbell was the slight favorite to win it all so this shakes things up a little more. Maybe the stars are truly aligned for my Panthers as a team of destiny.

Yes, the RP kiss of death. I was really worried until now. LOL

Tremendous idea but unfortunately it passed us by. Too many short sighted people involved in that decision. Could have created academic, athletic, and unanimity excellence across the board. We might even have had a 5000+ seat gymnasium.

As with this entire season, there are no "locks" in this tournament. If you've watched how things progressed this year in the 10th you know what I know: anyone here could win it. I'd pick Augusta out of the bottom bracket (somewhat of a Homer pick) but they've been pretty consistent all year and Campbell out of the top for the final. Paris has the best team talent but it'll take 3 tough games of focused effort to pull it off. MoCo is tough when they shoot well but that's been sporadic and when the shoot poorly they're very beatable.

I have no words........ How fitting all the way around. Good kids, doing the right things, the right way is what makes it so great to me. Make sure your young kids don't miss this lesson of doing it the right way and succeeding.

Now come on Papa, I'm sure we could agree to have it in the Bahamas. I'm there!

I am hoping and praying Augusta can pull off this win. Our group of Seniors have earned the right to "go out on top". However this is far from a given. We have to execute, stay close, and hit FTs at the end if we are to win as Mason has the superior athletes just like always.

I have the same view on this as I do for the Regional tournament: hold it wherever you make the most money and my assumption would be that's where most people want it. School funding is very, very tight so I'm sure all schools would appreciate this basis for determining the venue. I say this without knowing the answer to the district question so before you go there, don't. The region is a settled issue in my mind as the numbers speak for themselves, the Fieldhouse outperforms any other venue 2:1

Fine young lady and well deserved. I wish her well post season. Not being a big girls bb fan she's one of a few of the young ladies I've seen play that I have enjoyed watching.

Hats off to St. Pat. Great game plan and execution. Keep my Panthers out of sync and off balance all night. We were fortunate to win and advance.

Augusta with 97 wins over the past 5 years with as challenging a schedule as anyone in the Region every year and 1 year with as tough a schedule as anyone in the state. All with roughly 55 male students in the entire HS annually. EVERYBODY should respect and aspire to this type of effort, focus, and total class manner in which this accomplishment was achieved. Young men everywhere take note, set your goals high, work hard, and be respectful and you can achieve. Never let anyone convince you otherwise.

I think I'd be more surprised by a 10th Region team winning a game "they're supposed too". At this point, I wouldn't be shocked if Robertson County won the Region this year. No offense to my friends in Mount Olivet.

Too many kids with too much hype. My God, not everybody is the 2nd coming of MJ. I will say this about UK: I think without Darius Miller (Mason County) they don't get that National Championship and without Derek Willis (Bullitt East) this year stepping up they wouldn't be as successful as they have been of late. I also always like to drag out my " Chris Lofton (Mason County) isn't good enough to play here lament no matter how much he wants to play here ". Personally, I like the long view but I can't live and die Blue when I can't keep up with the player names without a que card. JOHMO

2 of these 3 districts are seeded but it was bound to happen given all the parity this year. I've seen worse years than what this portrays.

Every time I think Mason is over this hurdle, this lack of discipline rears its ugly head. Brossart is tough at home but if Mason is going to have any post season success they'll need to get these negative tendencies under control.

Final home game for a terrific group of young men. They personify how far hard work, high ethical standards and a passion for the game can take you. They took the adversity of being told they were too short, too slow, not athletic enough and on and on and proved ALL the naysayers wrong. These young men aren't done yet by a long shot on the court but when they are they will be overachievers in the bigger game of life too. God speed and thanks for the memories!
