Final from Brooksville.

Absolutely wild finish.

Augusta finished the game on an 8-0 run, capped by Tanner Pugh's 17 footer at the buzzer.

I knew Augusta had a good team but never thought they'd beat Mason County.

I was following the uodates. Mason seemed to have this one under control, then.....

Sounds like a classic. Congrats to both teams, and good luck next week!:thumb:

Has to be a bitter pill for the Royalsl Faithful to go down once again to Augusta for the 3rd time in districts, this after losses against Brossart and the home finale against Pendleton

Wow what a finish.

Augusta now with 3 district titles in 4 years.

Mason County goes to the region as a runner up and playing a district winner first round. But as even as most of the 10th is it probably won't matter.

Just witnessed 5 guards from Augusta topple the trees from Mason plus A. Williams and Garrison. Sorry, not many details other than Panthers seniors were determined to fight through the 14 point deficit late in 3rd. Two deep 3's by Maddox and one by O. Crawford pulled Augusta even with 35 to go. Panthers steal with 14 to go and went for the final shot which Tanner Pugh NBN from 17 out on left wing as time expired.

Garrison and A. Williams had great games with 20 each. Cameron Snapp kept Augusta within striking and probably had 22-24? Maddox was denied the ball throughout the 1st half, but had a strong fourth to finish with 18-20?

Augusta has toppled a lot of 3 point shooting trees from Mason over the past 4 years

All quiet on the Mason County front...... Zzzzz

I saw the headlines and I can see why. Augusta is a gritty team (saw them play Brossart) to come back the way they did.

I think they can get the nets. Good momentum win going into the 10th regional tourney

Augusta Panthers continue their ride to the Regionals with a 22-6 record and win the third District Crown in 4 years for this senior group. Mason is a very talented team and cannot be counted out at Regionals. But, you've got to see the heart, hustle and smart play of the Panthers. They are a delight for basketball purists to watch. None of these kids are afraid of the big stage.

I am super happy for Coach Kirk and Augusta. Bryan is a great guy and a great coach. Nothing but love from me for Coach Kirk. Baby J sends his congrats too, Coach Kirk!!!!!

Here's a video for anyone who wants to see.

This is really not a surprise to me. Augusta has 3 kids that have probably played together since they were in diapers. They have started 4 years and most likely know every freckle location on each other. Plus they have been winners in big games. One is an all around jack of all trades(Snapp) who rebounds, defends, scores from mid range and fights. Another is a deft ball handler (O Crawford) who has turned into a good scorer and driver and also defends. The other (Maddox) can shoot from distant zip codes, gets his shot off in a phone both, is deceptively quick and works his bottom off to get open. Throw in there Pugh who is a nice role player and does the little things and someone's big things to help his team win. I could go on about the other two contributors but these kids are winners. Plain and simple. And they know how to win. Plus, I hear from everyone they are good and respectable kids. I hope they go to Rupp.

Somebody get the movie rights!!!

George Clooney to play Camryn Snapp.
