Great picture of the final shot, from The Ledger Independent's Terry Prather:

Augusta has been pretty impressive over the past few years. Not backing down from anyone.

But can they keep it up through the 10th region tournament? What are their realistic chances of winning the 10th?

Augusta is 2-5 (if I counted correctly) this season against the 10th Region tournament field of teams. (2 losses to Campbell, one close and one not so much; defeated Scott, lost by 6 to Pendleton, split with Mason, lost by 5 to Paris, haven't played Harrison or Montgomery)

With that said, I think they have a realistic chance of beating anyone. Not sure I'd want to meet Campbell before the finals though.

Mason had this game for about 29 minutes and continued to play at a fast pace which led to several turnovers and some bad shots. Mason did not play as the score dictated and slow the pace. Our guards were good for most of the game but had 4 terrible turnovers and Pig shot an air ball three from the corner at a bad time. I believe this was the biggest give away game that I can remember.

The game consists of 32 minutes. Wow. Sounds like another great 10th region game.

From the river to Rupp.

Are you saying the officials did a good job or a bad job calling fouls correctly?

Style of play was the same on both ends but I think the final foul calls were 20 MC to 8 AH. It did not cause MC to blow the 9 pt lead, but it did take Darren Williams out of the whole first half and part of the 2nd half. So I think it had an impact in keeping Augusta in the game.

But give credit to Augusta for finishing the game. They hit some huge shots in the final 4 minutes and MC played a terrible last 4 minutes. Why with a 9 pt lead don't you force Augusta to come out and play you and run clock instead of attacking the Augusta zone and taking a bad shot and turning the ball over?

Honestly there are probably 6 teams that could win the 10th Region this year. That includes both Augusta and Mason County. It depends on who shoots well and how the games are officiated.

Great hs basketball game.

I'm honestly not sure at the drawing this morning who you want out of this district.

This could have been a huge wakeup call for mason.

Draw is on Saturday. Agree that it's anyone's tournament this year. The pairings will determine a lot.

The draw is everything this season.

Just saw the shot on ESPN! Big time moment for the small town on the river.

Which two are you not including?

Personally couldn't see a team from the 38th winning it this year, but stranger things have happened
