That is what it's all about. Happy to see your not buying into the hype. I think very few of the people who express their opinions on this forum related to recruiting have even attended a college game at any level.

Need to add Connor Maddox from Augusta. No idea why they didn't file stats but he's as good as anybody statistically. Well over 40% and averaged 4+ per game.

The tryouts were a joke and before you suggest it my kid made the team. If they're going to keep doing this series they should get serious about making it an honor and being prepared to play. Indiana does it the right way.

I would agree that 6th, 7th, and 11th Region players have a "leg up" as they all play in areas that have more widely covered and circulated Newspapers. I think Owen County did a very good job of getting Carson Williams exposure in these areas though and it certainly worked for him. Also, I'll say it again, not many, if any Mr. Basketballs come from teams that aren't successful against tough schedules.

I hear he has the inside track on the WKU job. I believe he spent time last week at the State Tournament with one of his possible Assistants.

. I know some schools create "phantom" jobs for their Coach, one to the tune of about $40k I understand.

I am still amazed at how many people think that a Coach, any Coach makes such an impact positive or negative.

As do I and I truly hope they give Jason time. That was my biggest personal concern for him making the move. No enmity here.

Rarely do we disagree PaPa but I guess this is one of those occasions. We'll agree to disagree on this one.

I don't think it's fair to put this much emphasis on the Coach either way. I think the results this year speak for themselves. Players and teams are 95% of the success ratio and I'm not negative about BC. I just think they underperformed this year in relation to expectations.

Just a few added thoughts. If Allen is back at PC they're in the top 3, Paris and Brossart will be tough again, Campbell will be as good as their younger kids can take them much like Mason, Scott will be strong and CC & MoCo are large schools that will always be in the mix. Bracken returns a core group but they've underperformed in relation to expectations the past several years but I think Bourbon could be the X factor. They return a lot of talent and Blackburn could contest for POY. My Panthers will be down after being so competitive for so long but winning seems to make you a little more confident over time just as losing has that opposite effect so I'm hopeful we'll be competitive.

Been hearing this for the past 7 years but I guess it's like the weather guy......you call for rain enough times, you'll eventually be right. I believe the 10th will be a little better next season and I also believed and said early, this was Bracken's best opportunity to win the District and possibly the Region. IMHO, they drastically underperformed this year.

It's a great time of year.......everybody is right again and those "great" teams everybody predicted in the past 5 years to be can't miss winners are all sitting on the sidelines watching again but hey, we'll get em next year.....

Class A Coaches selected by Class A schools in the Region while KABC COY is selected by all Coaches who are KABC members. The KABC coaches are recognized at the State tournament at halftime of one of the games.

Not in the case where a 10th Region team is involved. It happens here all the time. I believe Mason was ranked 10th in the State in 2014 when we (Augusta) beat them in the 1st round of the 39th District.

Now that my Panthers have been defeated, I'll be wearing Royal Blue the rest of the season. Go Royals, win it all.
