3 Point Shooters

Who were the best 3 point shooting players in the state this season?

Here is a good start.

I like Dylan James for Mercer, I've watched him sink 17/18 in warm ups..... I just happened to be counting. This guy has as smooth a stroke as I've seen at this level!

34% when guarded. Very good but not off the charts.

Math might be a bit off there. KHSAA has him 94/215, which is 43.7%. That's pretty doggone good.

I wish the KHSAA had it sorted by 3FG%, but from that list alone, it looks like Noah Back from Perry County Central to me. 84/173 (48.6%) on the season. When you're attempting over 6 threes a game and hitting almost 50% of them, that's very, very good.

Ha! My mistake. I did the math on the first 2 lines. Games played/shots made.

Thanks for catching. Much better.

Bouvet from South can rake from out there. Hope he's on this Thursday, fans will be in for a treat.

As mentioned, Dylan James. The last 2 seasons, he has gone a combined 188-412. That's 46% of a LOT of shots. His stroke is a thing of beauty, and he's about as good from 25 feet as he is from 20.

Here is a good start.

This has yet to be updated to reflect stats through the regional tournament, but your right is a very good place to start.

Mason Blair from Johnson Central is a volume 3FG shooter and will likely lead the state in made 3FG (he has 111 - Dylan James has a chance to pass him). Mason will likely end up 4th in KHSAA history for made 3FG just ahead of Quintin Snyder from Ballard if he continues at his current pace (around 350 made 3FG for his career). Mason does shoot around 33% for his career (not overly impressive) but when he gets hot it is something special to watch (Has hit 8 in a quarter - has had a 30 point quarter). If his shot selection improves his percentage would be well over 40% IMO. Point: He should be considered one of the best 3FG scorers in the state.

NewCath's 6'6" Ben Weyer......3FG's - 52/114 - 45.6%

Buckhorn's Connor Hoskins is 103/235 on the season after region. That's 43.8% and an avg of 3 makes per game.

As mentioned, Dylan James. The last 2 seasons, he has gone a combined 188-412. That's 46% of a LOT of shots. His stroke is a thing of beauty, and he's about as good from 25 feet as he is from 20.

Was at a Sheldon Clark vs GRC game last season and he was 7/12 from deep with 36 total points. He was pulling from the volleyball line and beyond. Really impressive.

Greenup Co - (So) Gage Hughes can shoot it with anybody. Think GC didn't turn in all numbers in time. 25 foot range and avg in mid 40%. And takes a lot of 3`s. I fell anybody that has seen him, would say the same. Season high was 8 on 10-11 shots.

Trey Blevins-Wayne County. Percentage was the best this season but he would draw a crowd every game.
