Buckhorn's Connor Hoskins is 103/235 on the season after region. That's 43.8% and an avg of 3 makes per game.

I'm not exactly sure this was a big surprise. Buckhorn was ranked ahead (by a small margin) of Letcher in all three computer ranking systems. Those are the Cantrell, Lit, and Maher. All of those rankings don't just look at record. They factor in strength of schedule and such. I look forward to seeing how the rest of this tournament plays out.

I wish we could do a blind draw state wide. I would love to see a Lexington Catholic have to go to somewhere like Jackson City or Belfry. Somewhere they would never go willingly. I know financially it would be difficult but i would love to see the matchups that would come from it.

It usually takes a lot longer to set up but I've been grilling on an open fire for 3-4 years now. I use only hickory, oak or cherry seasoned split firewood. I have a couple different grills my dad and I have made. They are basically angle iron and expanded metal for the grates. I grilled 75 ribeyes for my cousins wedding this past weekend. It was the largest grilling job I've ever taken on but it was a fun 2.5 hours of grilling.

The meeting a couple weeks ago was actually the second meeting. The first time they met was in the WYMT Championship game, that was also held at Knott County. Knott County won that game, in a shootout, by 5-7 points. The game tonight will be the 6th time Buckhorn has played a game in Knott County's gym this year.

Professor, you are almost right on with all that you have said. I think Buckhorn has only played in the regional tournament a total of 7-8 times in their history. They also have a listed enrollment of about 160 in their High School. I think their K-8 enrollment is about the same as their High School. I also think the town population was listed at 150 in the last census and their were at least 1500 fans supporting the Wildcats in their victory last night. It seems like every single alumni aupports every school function.
