Okay....I get it now! "You" can only think inside the box so let me explain this a little further for ya! This is a Grant / WV thread and since WV did have two players selected to the "ALL REGION", I opted to comment about the players from the GC team that didn't make it! I'm thrilled for any PLAYER that was selected to the all region team and wish them much success! Now, its time for ya to get out of the box for a brief second and hear me out before making any conclusions....I still question the validity of how this years 8th region team was chosen! How can there be just one person behind a closed door counting all of the ballots by him/herself and then publishing the results without verification from some accounting firm like its done at the Miss America pageant....OK, maybe most people would shut up about it if all of the coaches could set in a room and confirm the results together. BTW, I guess since you always had to say "PUTMEINCOACH", you probably weren't ever on the list either!

Maybe not to you but to any player who bust their chops every day playing for coach Hicks it does!

IMO...if the defender steps across the inbound line and deflects the ball after it has left the passers hands, it should be a warning for the first and a technical for the second. However, if the defender hits the ball while it is still in the hands of the inbound passer, it should be a technical.

Guess this could be considered as an UGLY / BREATHER GAME for the Bearcats!

Neerfan....both of your comments are correct - he left on his own terms and did see a brighter future ahead at PSW. After being at SL for 20 (or whatever) years, it was time for a change for both he and the administration. The school board members themselves have changed over the years and is now made up of members primarly from the North, who support a different program and Wright could see this. He's probably close to retirement and if the truth were to be known, he just didn't want to put up with any more bull coming from the central office. Wouldn't it be ironic if Wright were to become the leader of this administration some day!! After reading all of the comments, everyone knows that on any given night, any team can be beaten regardless of the talent or coach, or even assistant coach. I've been around all of the coaches (Davis, Wright, Sizemore, and Denny) for many years and for anyone to say that these guys are bad coaches....you're just wrong. These guys contribute so much time and effort in teaching players how to play the game but, they can't play the game for them. Davis, although he's in his first year as head coach, he'll do a great job at South. I'm sure the players are still trying to buy into his system and there are several injuries that have hurt the lineup but after all is said and done, he'll have this program performing to its potential within two years. Sizemore & Denny, a complimentary duo that will be a regional contender. Wright at SWP - it is what it is - great coach, who has earned his state championship ring. It's my understanding that kids want to play for him and that's why he's had so much success in his career. Good luck to all of these coaches!

Was thinking the same thing! I guess with that big wing span he's got, doesn't really need to take many shots from more than 8 feet from the hoop. Didn't really like his routine from the line.....catch and shoots without taking a dribble or two. BTW....his brother(Carson) has a promising future - to be an 8th grader, he knows what to do on both ends of the floor!

Grant goes on a 13 to 2 run to finish the 2nd quarter, up 2 at the half. Second half is back and forth with the lead changing numerous times. Owen hits a layup with 16 seconds to take the lead by 1. Grant calls timeout with 8 seconds and Hunt hits a 3 with 4.8 left in the game. Owen calls timeout.......doesn't get a shot off. Great win for GC!!!!
