I for sure, have never said anything about hating Mr. Burgess in any form. I've known him for over 30 years and there isn't a man who's put in more time and hard work into any organization in Grant Co. than him.

Again, he resigned his coaching position under his own power.....wasn't asked to do so. Why would I ask a 70+ year old basketball booster president, who also sets on the local water district board, and makes good popcorn, what he thinks about the administration? I really don't care what he thinks about the administration. Since you brought him up, I'll be the first to say that he does a great job at what he knows how to do. First of all....congrats to Coach Grammer. I wish him the best! What's up with all of the negative comments about the administration? Have you dealt with them before? The administration didn't have a problem with Coach Hicks when it came to athletics. He was there every day, worked hard for his coaching staff, players, parents, and even the community....this was appreciated by all of those involved in athletics. Did the administration have an issue with the ACADEMIC side of the business.....YES! There's always the underlying issues that people don't want to know, don't want to hear about, or don't want to believe because some people, well just.........."CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"! People are always wanting to blame someone else and it usually starts with the administration. That's just the nature of the beast. I don't believe there were to many educators that resigned from this district either. Folks need to remember that Coach Hicks was not asked to resign as a coach or EDUCATOR!

First of all, you'll never bust my bubble! If the OEA is still investigating the system, then so be it. My source indicated that he hasn't seen nor been asked any questions from the investigators this year. If they do find that "ANYBODY" is doing or has done something wrong.....somebody should be showing them the door. IMO, there should be "0" tolerance for anything that's detrimental to a school system. As for the day to day operations that I refer to, they don't have :poop:to do with the Super getting approved for $34,000. It all falls on the shoulders of the Board Members that approved this and several of them approved the same thing for the previous Super. If you're gonna quote somebody, make sure to use it in the right sentence :confused:

There's more applicants (over 15) on the list than what's been mentioned. And from what I'm hearing, some of them are well qualified for the job. I'm not sure if Coach Plunkett has applied or not but, I think he would be an excellent hire for the program. The OEA investigation was conducted and closed LAST YEAR, not this year as indicated....with no violations! 99% of the real educators understand that their primary objective is to teach our youth and prepare them for this cruel world. The other 1%, they are the ones that think they're entitled to a retirement based on coaching achievements! Others have commented about the Super getting $34,000 for continuing his eduction. He just followed in the footsteps of the previous Super. There wasn't much smoke about that at the time and there wasn't any cuts that year either. Yes, the timing is bad and I don't agree with it but, if anyone's to blame, it's definetly not the folks that do the day to day operations in the system, it's the.......BOE MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't want to be stuck anywhere between Goshen and Independence. Besides, not to many hotels along the way want to deal with a bunch of young ladies celebrating a regional championship!!! Thinking positive:thumb:

Okay....I get it now! "You" can only think inside the box so let me explain this a little further for ya! This is a Grant / WV thread and since WV did have two players selected to the "ALL REGION", I opted to comment about the players from the GC team that didn't make it! I'm thrilled for any PLAYER that was selected to the all region team and wish them much success! Now, its time for ya to get out of the box for a brief second and hear me out before making any conclusions....I still question the validity of how this years 8th region team was chosen! How can there be just one person behind a closed door counting all of the ballots by him/herself and then publishing the results without verification from some accounting firm like its done at the Miss America pageant....OK, maybe most people would shut up about it if all of the coaches could set in a room and confirm the results together. BTW, I guess since you always had to say "PUTMEINCOACH", you probably weren't ever on the list either!
