Top 15 Players in the State?
I like this list with the exception of Ivey from Scott County and Setty from Mason. While they are no doubt very good players neither are in the top 15 in the state. I might put Setty in my next 10 and Ivey after that. Ivey still has plenty of time to be talked about in the next couple of years though!

Hawkins...answered my own question! Really athletic player and has a high basketball IQ

11th Region Boys Basketball-2010-11 Who's on top?
I would watch out for a young Madison Central team that has taken some lumps last year. They will be ready to take that aggression out on some of the teams on their schedule this year. Watch out for their stud sophomore...not sure his name. Someone help me out.

Football/Basketball Stars
With the upcoming football season and basketball season on deck I was wondering which players around the state standout in both sports. I have noticed in most cases (not all) players that play football display that toughness on the court as well as the field. :madman: I'm a firm believer that these players make a HUGE difference on the court. Corey Rogers from Clark County comes to mind.

Who are some of the teams and players that are playing well in this weeks KBA State Tournament?

Summer Match-Up, Pupil vs. Professor

Montgomery County Omar Prewitt
I would list him at more like 6'3 or 6'4...a guy that can shoot the way he does will find a way to nice high school and college career. Was impressed at the end of the year in region tourney vs. Pendleton where he was the defenses main assignment and still had 28 pts. He has a knack for scoring...will be fun to watch over the next 3 years!

Major DI Scholarships - Hard to Get
Totally agree with the premise of the quote but I'm not buying into the LUCKY part of it. Elisha made his own luck...great kid, great game, he EARNED it day in and day out with his effort. There are kids out there with more talent then him but not more heart.

Jim Hicks Named Grant County Head Coach
Coach Hicks has had some nice teams at Bath County. He will do a good job in getting Grant County excited about basketball.

Sizemore Signs
Where is he from?

Scott Hundley new coach at Woodford County
Coaching staff is one of the most important decisions a coach can make. It's important to surround yourself with good people.
-
Justin Yeary named coach at Dunbar
They passed up on some serious coaches! Not sure I agree with this decision.

Grant County Head Coach Job
Is there any word on who Grant County has hired?
-
Estill County Head Coaching Job..
Jon will do a great job. Class guy!

P.L. Dunbar Head Coach Position
Sounds like someone Hundley got the better of as a player! :taz:

P.L. Dunbar Head Coach Position
Lets be honest there has to be some accountability in the job. Even if you alienate the wrong people you give those people amunition when you only go 3-22. I wouldn't want my child to play for a team like that, that is capable of way better.

Three finalists vying to be next KHSAA commissioner
Phil Rison would be a great hire...he works extremely hard at Montgomery County. Just look at the facilities and you can see that he has done an outstanding job in building up the athletics at MC.

Marion county
Really?! That is actually exciting for Marion County! He will do a great job...he has the support of the community I'm sure!

Grant County Head Coach Job
I believe this is the same Knott County J.V. team that lost in the Varsity division on Sunday morning and played two players on J.V. that started Varsity that morning. Not that he is a bad coach but don't try and hype something up that doesn't need to be hyped up...if a kid is starting varsity (regardless of age) they should not play J.V. This is an unwritten rule among coaches, they must not have gotten the memo. But also Tates Creek won the Varsity division and didn't even make it to the 11th region finals so summer really means nothing. Nevertheless, he may be a good coach but I don't think this supporting evidence is as strong as you think.

10th Region- Who is going to be the top 5 teams in the region?
Montgomery County's JV team beat Harrison this season and they didn't even have Omar Prewitt who was a freshman starting Varsity. The Montgomery County team should be a fun bunch to watch as they like to play up and down and score.

Kentucky/Indiana Allstar team
You're Crazy if you think Dakota Euton is going to make the team over Ge-lawn Guyn. Although I'm not a huge fan of the kids he is exactly the type of player that can be effective on a team like this.

Grant County Head Coach Job
What's his background other than being with Scott County? Did he play somewhere?

Bryan Station Head Coach position
I wouldn't be so sure of this...the administration fired Champ Ligon after he was the KHSAA state coach of the year. Not sure many coaches would want to work for an administration that did that. I do wish Mike Allen the best but if he has a winning season he needs to be careful, they may fire him. :ohbrother:
