  1. Based on spelling, I'm guessing you're talking about Math teachers!
  2. Just got word that Dunbar's head coach, Justin Yeary has resigned as head coach. I am told that he resigned on his own and was not asked to step down. I thought they had a good team coming back this year...tough to step away from a good team. What are your thoughts on possible replacements?
  3. All of those beautiful facilities are due to Phil Rison. He has been nothing but class in the face of a difficult situation. Sounds like a GREAT super if you ask me.
  4. Take a hard look at how good Quinn Richardson (PG) for Scott County is as well...runs the show!
  5. Scott county was a team on a mission tonight. Gotta say everyone knows about Ivey and Manning but I thought the PG Richardson was the difference maker. He hit tough shots at key times and got them in their offense at other times. Great run for Woodford County, was only the 2nd time in 50 years that the school has been represented in the Finals by a boys basketball team. Knocked off #12 Lex Cath and #5 Madison Central in the process. What a fun group of guys to watch play. I was thoroughly impressed by the fan support of Woodford County...they outnumbered SC at least 2-1. Great season Yellow Jackets!
  6. Lot of turmoil amongst the Franklin County team. Think many players were ready to be done.
  7. I was just curious which teams have had the best fan support this post season? Do you think it has helped your team? My vote goes with Woodford County. I heard they brought two pep buses to counter Madison Centrals fan support.
  8. I saw Coach Feldhaus and Coach Hundley shake hands after the game.
  9. Every time you point a finger you have three pointing back at you. :thumb:
  10. It was great to see seniors make plays at the end for Woodford! Agreed, big three by Greenwell coming out in the 2nd half. Gross's layup at the buzzer was amazing. Starcher hit a huge 3 to bring the jackets back to 45-44 down. 3-4 fts for Jay Johnson were huge! Great to see Woodford pull off the upset!
  11. Thought FC just wanted it more. Agree, defense was the difference in the ball game.
  12. If I was Montgomery Co I may play with a chip on my shoulder.
  13. I am a little surprised by this score after Henry Clay's big week upsetting undefeated Madison Central and going in to Scott County and coming out with a win. Lafayette is a VERY dangerous team...their only knock is that they have been a little inconsistent (can be explained by youth). Their size and length could cause some shake ups in their district...mark my words.
  14. Woodford County's Jay Johnson scores his 1000th point despite having ACL surgery and missing the majority of his senior season. I have a lot of respect for this young man who will be attending Tennessee Tech next season. He has dealt with sitting most of this year very well and from all accounts that I have seen him he is a fine young man. I look for Woodford to be the darkhorse in the 11th region. Congrats again to Johnson.
  15. Completely disagree. Woodfords size and length caused Clark all sorts of problems.
  16. It's actually Addison Hollin. No relation to Clinton Hollon. He went 5 for 5 from the field and 2 for 2 from the line for 12 big points for the Jackets. Woodford County had a couple sick players too. Opportunity for others to step up!
  17. I would agree that Tamron Manning has probably lived up to expectations the most. The only thing I don't like is that it usually takes him close to 25 shots to get 25 points. I guess as I think of seniors I think of players that are preparing to be college ready. If you don't shoot a better percentage in college than he has this season he is going to have a tough time at Marshall. I think Dieudonne is a star amongst stars at Trinity. I did like the PG from Rowan better than Wing. My vote still goes to Manning for his ability to take over a game at the end.
  18. Greenwell had 22 in finals versus Scott County bringing his grand total to 1011 career points. Congratulations on this accomplishment! Why is no one recruiting this 6'4" 2-guard who can flat out play?
  19. The game was tied at halftime 35-35 and the Western Hills team should be given a lot of credit for their hustle as they outworked the Yellow Jackets to the tune of 42-26 on the boards. Johnson was in foul trouble early and it looked like once the game was in hand Coach Hundley just didn't put him back in the game in an effort to save his legs for the Toyota Classic. Starcher stepped up for WC with 4 of 6 threes and 18 points. A late run in the second half put this one away for WC as they turned 16 WH turnovers into 27 points. Not quite the effort that is going to win the Toyota Classic that starts tonight for Woodford vs. Western (Louisville).
  20. Good win for WC in a hostile district game @ FC. Also saw the return of Jay Johnson who had 18 pts and 8 Rebs. Glad to see WC get back on track...all around team effort. Side note: Timmons for FC is the fastest player I have seen this year. Can't imagine what he did as a football player when he didn't have to dribble the ball.
  21. Good effort by WC last night but just too many turnovers for points. Easy points at that. Manning had 26 points off of 10-25 shooting. I'm sure most teams would give him that type of effort if he took as many shots to get that many points. Agree with I wouldn't want to play them at tournament time.
  22. So, this is what I'm hearing... Tier 1: Madison Central, Scott County, Lexington Catholic Tier 2: Henry Clay Tier 3: Lexington Christian, Franklin County, Woodford County (Could move up with Johnson), Dunbar, Lafayette, Bryan Station (w/ Beckham), and Tates Creek.
