Best student section/fan support?

Featured Replies

I was just curious which teams have had the best fan support this post season? Do you think it has helped your team?

My vote goes with Woodford County. I heard they brought two pep buses to counter Madison Centrals fan support.

Cov Cath...end of discussion.

Cov. Cath is #1 and from my region I would say Montgomery County and Pendleton County are some of the tops.

CovCath has the best student section easily. But as far as raw fan numbers, I'm going with Pendleton County. They had more fans AT Montgomery County Tuesday than Montgomery did, and it's an hour and a half drive from Falmouth to Mt. Sterling.

Augusta and Deming always bring nice crowds as well, especially for the small size of their towns.

Montgomery County didn't have hardly anyone the other night in the 1st round of the region. Pend Co has the best crowd support in the 10th.

The CovCath Crazies at BOKC...Now that is student support!

Augusta had a great crowd there last night for thier school size.

They do bring a great crowd and so does GRC.

Cov Cath is #1 by a long shot.

Student section ...I agee no comparison.

CCH gets all of the love in the 9th and their support is strong.

Others I've seen with strong support: Dixie, Holy Cross, St Henry, NewCath.

Holmes was solid in the first CCH game - quite vocal.

Woodford Co brought a tremendous crowd (students included) to the Madison Central vs Woodford Co game. Seemed almost as many fans as Mad. Central. Great atmosphere.

A little inside info for BGP fans..........At the EKU arena, students from the schools generally fill the end zone seats. There is only one end zone with seating and it's first-come first-served. At the Lex Catholic vs Woodford Co game, the Lex Catholic students so dominated the Woodford Co students in sheer number (and noise) that Woodford Co abandoned their end zone seats. The Woodford Co students wandered the arena before ending up in the corner farthest from the end zone, but located where their team entered/exited the arena from the floor. This proved to be a great choice as it provided the point of celebration (with excellent pictures taken) when they upset Lex Catholic.

They were back filling that same section against Madison Central and celebrated with their winning team. Wonder where the Woodford Co students will be in the game versus Scott County? I bet I know!!!!!

I know one team that will not be on this thread.

I thought Cooper represented very well all year long. They may not of had the student section as some (but was still better than most) but the overall fan support for a school four years old was above my expectations.

The Holmes, Campbell County game, at Campbell. Holmes was lucky if they have 100 people there. Scott crowd was a no show as well. The Camels have had a good following this year. I've been a little disappointed at couple of times. CCH students, hands down.
