As a Holmes and a fan of Simon Kenton as well I will be going to Rupp once again for no one to really cheer for. Who will be some of the players that I should keep an eye on? Best Athletes, Best Shooters and Best Overall Players? Who looks to be the favorite teams? I know all the regional tournaments aren't completed yet, but many teams have punched their tickets already.

From the 15th it will be either Johnson Central or East Ridge. The player to look out for from JC would be Shane Hall. He is listed as a 6'8" sophomore and has received interest from a few D1 schools. From East Ridge the top player is probably 6'8" junior Ray Kasongo. He has also received some D1 interest, along with sophomore PG Tony Wolter. Actually, it was reported that Tom Crean from Indiana, along with assistants from a few other D1 schools including Tennessee are in attendance tonight for the regional championship...

You will enjoy watching Shane Hall, got to see him play alot on the AAU circuit this year, he is about 6 8 and can jump out of the gym. He also made the top 25 in super soph camp in Atlanta last summer.

Trinity's starting 5 and Adam Wing of Rowan County.

Looks like I might just stay home this year if there are only 2 players to watch that are worth the price of admission...Talent must really be dowm in the bluegeass state this year 271 views cmon guys...

Derek Willis for Bullitt East... and I certainly hope Trinity is planning on keeping plenty of eyes on him.

I think if he gets hot, the key for Rowan is Jason Egan. Lefty 3 point shooter. Smooth. Fun to watch when he's on.

From GRC Bopper Stenzel and Adam Fatkin. Bopper I think is one of the state's best point guards, can shoot the three and has a nice mid-range jumper. Adam is a 6'-6" big man with a nice touch around the rim.

Tyler Wesley a 6'6 center from Oldham County is pretty smooth. He looks like he isn't putting out effort, but don't mistake his body language for production. The kid can play.

Zane McQueary will not stand out in any game, but if Boone wins a few games down there it will be because of him. I like the term sneaky good! By no means is he a flashy player, but just gets it done.

If John Hardin's Brandon Price plays anything near the way he did during his MVP performance in the 5th Region tourney, you guys are going to love him. He made several very good defenders look bad this past week.

Taylor Howard is a very under rated part of this GRC team. He was playing at the YMCA this time last year and now will be starting as a senior on the tenth region champs. He brings a lot of pure hustle to the team and the part that is hard to believe when you see him play is how he hasn't been playing high school ball before now! Good kid too!:thumb:

DJ Townsend from Rowan County.

Camron Justice from Knott County Central. He's a 6'2 freshman guard that can knock down the 3 or take it to the hoop with drives. He's a coaches' son (Raymond Justice, who took Belfry to two state tournaments back in the '90s) and is fundlementally sound in all parts of his game. Very talented for such a young player---and he's a natural freshman, no redshirt for this kid.
