Camron Justice from Knott County Central. He's a 6'2 freshman guard that can knock down the 3 or take it to the hoop with drives. He's a coaches' son (Raymond Justice, who took Belfry to two state tournaments back in the '90s) and is fundlementally sound in all parts of his game. Very talented for such a young player---and he's a natural freshman, no redshirt for this kid.

 

I have been keeping up with this kid all year. Look forward to watching him play.

His defense and focus during the entire game has gotten so much better as the season had progressed. He has shut down or slowed some very good players late in the season.

Also...the youngster from Johnson Central Shane Hall is on the Div 1 radar. Is he really only 145lbs though like the roster shows him?

From the 15th it will be either Johnson Central or East Ridge. The player to look out for from JC would be Shane Hall. He is listed as a 6'8" sophomore and has received interest from a few D1 schools. Actually, it was reported that Tom Crean from Indiana, along with assistants from a few other D1 schools including Tennessee are in attendance tonight for the regional championship...

 

 

Indiana University Coach Tom Crean was on hand for the 15th Region finals and got a look at Johnson Central's Shane Hall. The 6-7 sophomore had 34 points, including 10 out of 10 free throws, and nine rebounds in the Golden Eagles' win over East Ridge. "Shane put on a show," Johnson Central Coach Tommy McKenzie said.

IMO the Rogers kid is the catalyst of this team. He doesn't show up in the "headlines" much but he makes this team go.

As Charlie has stated many times, . “We each took a piece of the puzzle and just played to win.

Trenton Gilbert of Scott County is a kid that can shoot from anywhere in the gym.

A couple of young kids mentioned, Shane Hall and Justin Edwards played on the Kentucky Elite AAU team this summer, Gilbert played in a tournament with them also, Great to see those kids all at the state tournament, looks like their hard work payed off.

JaKeith Pitts from Boone County. 5' 7'' guard in constant motion. He resembles an electron tracking around the nucleus of an atom. Not a superstar, not going to make any all-tournament teams. Just a lunch pail contributor who gets the loose ball and stray rebound, makes the big pass and hits the key shot. He is fun to watch.
