Surprised no one has posted this score yet. Lafayette is now 12-16, but has beaten Lexington Catholic and now Henry Clay. The 13-game winning streak for Henry Clay comes to an end in surprising fashion.

And this comes right after their 50+ beating from Trinity!!!

Looks as if the beating might have re-focused the Generals?

Henry Clay led this game at half by 14. Lafayette fights back to win.

Lafayette also played without Charles Sweat-Washington.

I'm a casual observer to the hs bball thread, but it appears most comments on here are aimed at ridiculing the Generals so it isn't surprising this wasn't mentioned sooner.

I am a little surprised by this score after Henry Clay's big week upsetting undefeated Madison Central and going in to Scott County and coming out with a win. Lafayette is a VERY dangerous team...their only knock is that they have been a little inconsistent (can be explained by youth). Their size and length could cause some shake ups in their district...mark my words.

The Henry Clay/Lafayette game was a classic tale of two halves.

 

Henry Clay shot 56% in the first half to 37% by Lafayette. The Blue Devils led by 14 at the half.

 

Lafayette shot 56% in the second half and Henry Clay tanked to 5-25 shooting (20%), thus Lafayette wins by 2.

 

Henry Clay has a tough road test at Clark County on Thursday and then open the district next week with a dangerous Bryan Station team.

 

If their 20% second half shooting doesn't improve, it is going to be a long off-season for this young but talented bunch!
