  1. What about Rodney Snapp at Dixie, He is young and full of energy. He has been an assisant at Holmes, and at Milan Indiana where the program had huge amounts of success while he was there. I think he would be just what they need in Ludlow!
  2. 1st - Bellevue will be getting a new head coach and more than likely much of the coaching staff will turn over. How will the kids react to this? What kind of changes will a new coach bring to the program and will the players accept and adjust to those changes? 2nd- Everyone knows that the 1A district goes thru Beechwood. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Bellevue is returning some very nice players and if the cosmic stars align, then they will have a very good chance of seeing Beechwood again in the playoffs again this year. You never know what might happen by that time, injuries etc play a large part in 1A football. 3rd- Teams such as Brossart and Walton will be much improved. Dayton and Ludow will always be tough due to the rivalry aspect for Bellevue. This will only make the district tougher and should help close the gap on Beechwood for all teams. Bellevue has a great fan base and if they can get some young men to come out and work hard for the new coaching staff and believe in themselves then Bellevue will have another good year. i think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised by this!
  3. It will be interesting to see who they interview and select as their coach. As far as Chad goes, I do not know him personally, but I am aware that he has been coaching in Dayton. Knowing the rivalary that the two schools have I would like to know how the players and fans of Bellevue would feel about him coming back to Bellevue to coach. I know first hand that it is extremely difficult to come back and coach at your alma mater. Lots of pressure and pitfalls for a young coach to do that.
  4. Not much being said here. Even with the loud and proud Bellevue fans, things are being kept pretty much on the down low for some reason! :idunno:
  5. Does anyone know what teaching spots if any are available at Bellevue? What is Coach Duprees pedigree?
  6. Expect the unexpected when the powers to be at Holmes select a new coach!
  7. Having had the chance to get to know Dave Eckstein and his family over the past couple of years has been one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. Dave is a really great football coach and adminstrator at Bellevue, but he is an even greater mentor and family man. Many people around the football world see Dave only in a competitive world of games and practices. He is a fierce competitor who expects to win, demands perfection, and will do anything and everything to see that his players both as a team and individuals have success on and off the field. He will still be a large part of the Bellevue program in some facet I am sure. Good luck Dave and thank you!
  8. DJ Slater from Bellevue will carry the load for the Tigers this year. Good combination of size and speed.
  9. Hope Beechwood drops basketball!:laugh::notworthy:
  10. I think Rodney Snapp at Dixie is a good coach. He has lots of experience and will make a fine head coach soon I am sure.
  11. I have heard through the grapevine that Shumate is unhappy for reasons not mentioned here and that he is looking to get out of Beechwood.
  12. You can forget the CCH ideas unless the Park Hils mafia digs deep into the coffers for some jack!
  13. This is funny. From what I know of Shumate he has (run-ins) with everybody. I think he will stay at beechwood, and I think Voice of reason accually knows what he is talking about. He will compete for a region with the talent he has coming. It will not be long before Beechwood is not considered just a DIII school but a school who is a consistant Top 10 performer in the region every year!
  14. The fact that people are saying those seniors have come a long way since they were younger 8th and 9th playing varsity, well I do believe that Beechwood started two freshman(9th) last night. I am sure that Dayton must feel like they underachieved. They were picked to be the heavy conference favorites preseason, then Villa. Beechwood graaduated 4 starters.
  15. 1. His name is Nussbaum. Yes he did play well and he will. Beechwood had another freshman start also. Chase Maus he had 11 points and 9 rebounds not bad. 2. What other game did you see Beechwood play?
  16. I haven't seen Easton in any box scores but not sure.
  17. Only the referees who work hard enough to earn a shower period should be rewarded a hot shower!:banana::ylsuper:
  18. The Tigers over in Ft. Mitchell might have a thing or two to say about the Devils winning the DIII conference. But keep the dream alive at least for another couple of weeks!
  19. I think Cruse lead the tigers with 22, Pohlgeers 16, Fangman 17, Hall had 9 and Nussbaum 7. Like I said earlier if Cruse hit his layups the young man has 40+ easily. Bryan lead all scores with 24, 16 in 1st half. I think Phelps may have hit double figures, Pohlgeers effectively shut down Schuh(spelling).
  20. I was at this game, it could have been much worse if Beechwood didn't miss so many lay ups and shots on the block. The young players for beechwood Cruse and Nussbaum really played well and the trio of Pohlgeers, Hall and Fangman did what I am sure coach Shumate expects. They were leaders tonight playing aggresive offensively and solid defense. Beechwood appears to be getting better with each game.
