How do you know the young man was signing his name, Maybe he was writing a message to honor someone he is/was close to you do not know, nor do I. I watched what he did, he ran to the center court used his finger to write something, then went to his bench, he did not gesture to the crowd or Cov cath players in any way at all. I was saying that from watching how intnese the Lex cath coach is, I would venture to say that he is aware of the players intent and does not have an issue with it. As far as the game went, I think the Cov cath fans better get use to seeing teams play a bunch of zone against their team this year.

Unless you know the young man in question you can only make assumptions about why he went to the circle and did what he did before the game. I think by watching Lex. Caths coach and the way he handles his team, he had no problem with what the young mans intent was. As far as the chant the Crazies did midway through the 2nd period that should be addressed by the Cov cath administrators now, and should never be allowed to happen again! Should have been delt with last night! One should never question anyone else class or style without taking care of their own 1st.

How much does it cost to rent EKU's arena? If each Region put in 1/16th of that cost it should cover that. Where does the gate money from each Regions all A tourney go. I know that the 9th region has an incredible turnout, and should be able to help with something of this nature. In my honest opinion a city the size of Richmond can surely afford a 3-4 day event of this size. The revenue it is bringing in to its business district and in turn the tax money those businesses pay to the city etc etc, and sales tax that people pay for things they buy and use while they are there. Sounds strange to me that most cities beg for events like this, and Richmond says they cannot afford it. I do not understand.:confused:

This game was rescheduled due to finals week at Beechwood. Remember we are talking Student-athletes here. Rememeber Holmes is the defending state champs and should be the heavy favorites. All that talent and Beechwood lost everything including their manager. Shouldn't even be a game at all. Heck Beechwood is so down this year they cannot even get their shoe order in on time! No respect! Be careful of teams with absolutely nothing to lose! :sssh:

Would not finding a sponser for the event help, I think the sweet 16 is sponsered, I do believe the football finals are sponsered somewhat? Input?:idunno:

Did not see anyof the DIII schools scrimmage at Simon Kenton this past weekend other than Beechwood. For having nothing coming back from last years team, and Dayton and Villa already getting ready to hold up the championship banner for this year, I thought the Tigers look very impressive. When they get their depth from the football team back, and a couple of the younger players step up, we will see the same outcome in DIII again as we have the previous two! Beechwood on top.

I am not sure if Buckler will play or not, but I think that the new coach will have some of the other football players out! SHould be athletic this year.

I have been following the playoffs closely at all levels. Saw the Beechwood/Bellevue game. You are right about Rigdon and the fumbles, but according to the stats Bellevue had 13 fumbles that night 5 of which were lost. According to the stats the Buckler kid scores once every 8 carries, take away a mimnimum of 13 more potential carries and even more on the ones that were lost then you can say that Bellevue lost many more scoring chances than Beechwood did.
