Very good second half for the Cards, best in weeks! Controlled the game after a fantastic 92 yd kickoff return by Xavier Shelton that took the lead 14-12 after a Fulton City score. Congrats to Fulton City on their GREAT RUN!:thumb:

Simpkins is always the Center on special teams...he is the long snapper and Trevor Williams is the offensive Center.

This could be a huge key, however...Mayfield's long snapper on punts, FG's, and extra points, had surgery on his finger this week and is not totally 100%. I agree McNutt is a big asset and hopefully Mayfield will be able to stop Fulton on their 2 point conversions!

:laugh: I was thinking that, but wasn't gonna say it...lol. Mayfield seems to have more fumbled snaps every year...I think this is a common theme among teams that switch from shotgun to under center several times during the game.

Maybe I shouldn't have said "paper". I should have said when you compare the teams, I would give a slight nod to Fulton City. I was just trying to show that BGP sees this game more in Mayfield's favor than some WKY fans do. However, I think it would be quite a feat to beat the Cards twice in one year. *Well, for one thing...the injury bug has bitten Mayfield somewhat and from what I hear may be playing without two starters. *Fulton has beaten Mayfield once at War Memorial and this game will be on their home field. Has to help mentally, especially after the fumble/penality debacle at Fulton last year! *Mayfield is giving up to big play and Fulton has some playmakers. Plus...Mayfield's red zone ineffectiveness may come in to play. They just haven't been able to punch it in. *Armstrong did NOT throw the ball well last week, plus Coach Morris will grind this game out...Just don't see the QB sneak/rollout beating Fulton as it did against Crittendon last week. Fulton is too fast and hit too hard. I would like to see McCuiston used more and some middle screens...we seems to get locked into off left tackle, right tackle, left, right, left...then we get in 3rd and longs and it makes it harder to convert!

Fulton City has to be the favorite on paper, but it looks as if the BGP Faithful just don't see Fulton City beating Mayfield twice in one year!

Surprisingly, the Cards are NOT sound fundamentally this year! They have had at least a dozen motion/illegal shift penalities over the last three weeks...:creepy: I too this this will be a close game down to the wire...If Mayfield's pass "D" has improved they just might pull this out! Calloway had this game won, and lost it in OT...I think this game is a total tossup and Mr. Robinson will lead the Flash to victory in the end... Early prediction: Lone Oak - 34 Calloway - 31

Miss ya calling the games...PBP Man...hope all is well! I caught a broadcast at the start of the second half a few weeks back of two schools and it was literally 17 mins before they told the score, there were 13 seconds left in the 3rd quarter...

The Refs were AWFUL...both ways...I have NEVER been one to complain, but this year...my gosh! :madman: I know it won't matter but I feel like emailing the KHSAA and linking the webcast from WPSD.:creepy: About the game: Hats off the Crittendon County! :thumb: Starting the year to now what an improvement they have made! They played hard and should make some noise next year. They played solidily on defense and made the Cards earn every yard! I really don't understand Mayfield's play calling sometimes on Offense...it just seems so hap-hazard. The "D" did ok, but those arms tackles won't work against Fulton! Mayfield must play better next week or Fulton City will make them look silly!

I agree that Crittenden is not a bad team, they played hard the second half against Mayfield and if the Cards take them lightly, they might hang around til the end! I think it is too early to tell for me what this change has done. Mayfield played it usual cake walk district games in early to midseason as opposed to the past when they usually would take at least a 4 game win streak into the postseason. This year, they had to close with a tough Fulton City team, Calloway County, Marshall County, and Caldwell County. They won 1 of those 4 games! Is it better to play tough teams at first, then weaker/level compeition to get healthy right before playoff time and riding high on confidence? --or-- Is it better to play your district first/middle, then face tougher teams and some adversity as you enter the playoffs?

Good win for the Cards...Those penalties are going to kill the Cards...they must be more sound! I love that they went "live" most of the week in practice! Trevarthen gets hurt every game...he is quick, but must keep his feet churning when hit! He gets killed every game because he just stops and tries to absorb the blow!

Wow, what a career he has had...His parents need to take Billy Jack Haskins out to dinner...Yes, that Billy Jack noticed in practice that Robinson a WR at the time had a good arm, suggested to dad, Coach Jask Haskins and that notice led to Robinson's switch to QB. I see a nice football scholly ahead! Congrats to Mr. Robinson and the Lone Oak Purple Flash!

Wow, good win for the Eagles...what a game football is week to week... Mayfield beats Graves 17-0, Mayfield gets crushed by Calloway at home, Graves County controls the whole game against Calloway at Calloway winning going away!

Mayfield has killed themselves all night long...Three holding calls, and three false starts...:mad: The have controlled the tempo even with Caldwell winning the field position battle all game!
