Always a tough game for both sides, and is still an intense rivalry despite the difference in class. One thing you know if you watched this rivalry over the years; it doesn't matter if BW or NCC are down, the game more than likely will still be close, and the result very easily could shock someone. I'm hoping NCC can pull this one out, but won't be surprised either way. I wish it wasn't a Saturday afternoon game though.. It's more intense as a night game in my opinion.

Might wanna double check what respective high school each kid is from; Mac Frazen was from NCC. I'd be hard pressed leaving Dylan Hayes off of the list too to be honest. I give you props though at least compiling the huge list. But the talent level of Louisville vs. NKY ESPECIALLY in 2012 is undeniable.

I'd take NCC's O-Line in 2010 (Jake Giesler, Jack Gruenschlaeger, Brady Thacker being the main three.) I agree with Ram though, 400 lbs is WAY too much for an O-Lineman, nonetheless even a DT. The 6-6, 320 lb one though looks like he could be really good. Pretty good build for an O-Lineman.

Poor Bob, the guy had to retire from a hit on the sideline, now this. I feel bad, he really wants to stay involved in the NCC program, and it's unfortunate these kind of things happen.

Watch some more Canadian football games on youtube. I really would venture to say some Junior High football teams could beat some of them... No tackling, half the time the line jumps and they don't call it, terrible blocking, it's just completely horrendous to watch.

Ironic it happens the night after the BG defeat. I didn't watch the game or anything, so I'm curious about these TO's that were called at the end of the 1st half? Anyone wanna provide some insight? Also, in the second half what was the play calling like? I mean, they put up more points in the 2nd half (35), then BG did last night (28). I guess there are cases of a team just being that bad, but based on everybody raving about Hoge, it makes it somewhat intriguing.

MAYBE similar, but not 91 points. I understand people's thought process with it looking bad, but if I'm a coach what else can you do? If they're just that bad?? I don't know if BG did any of this, but Highlands' bad rep with it comes from the play selection in these situations, not the score, that's when coaches get touchy, like if you run a vertical while up by 56 in the 4th quarter. If I'm the coach in this situation, just run, run, and maybe a short pass every once in a while. That being said, I feel sorry for the other kids on LC's sideline. On a side note, I really wish BG and HHS could play this year, it'd be an awesome game.

I'm sorry, but the justification can't be off a loss for Desales last season. One season can change a lot, and I'll stick to my expertise to prove a point. NewCath back in 2009-2010 had a really bad season for NCC standards. They finished 7-6 in Brady Hightchew's first ever season at QB and lost to Desales in the playoffs pretty handily. That team lost the majority of their offensive line and brought back a group even better on the O-Line, and literally every position. Just saying, players step up, surprises happen. For example, in 2009-2010 they lost to Ryle 45-0. Pretty bad. They come back in 2010-2011 and play Ryle, play their second worst game of the year and lose 27-7 with about 3-4 TO's. That's the same Ryle team that beat Highlands and gave Trinity a game for a while. But yeah, if you go based on a result last year, it could be a REALLY bad mistake for you.

In my opinion Desales deserves #1 solely based on their resume right now. A win over a John Hardin team that lost to Highlands by 7? That's a pretty good win. Maybe I'll put CC higher if they pull off a win against Mayfield though. But as of right now, the #1 and #2 is right. At this point it has to be the strongest resume.

Exactly. That's NCC's problem this year and I don't know when it'll get fixed. Their blocking is horrendous, they don't have the big men right now that they've had in recent history. They have the athletes that can keep them in it for a while, but eventually there's only so much they can do. Fact of the matter, big teams will EAT up NCC this year.

I agree, there's no clear-cut front runner, but it's definitely going to help Barker that he's a UK commit. It always does for the selection of Mr. football. Case in point being James Quick leaving UK on his list until he won it, then cutting them immediately after.

I would have to say Barker right now. Sindelar still has a couple years until college so who knows by then. But I've seen both play, and at this point Barker impresses me more. Again, not a knock on Sindelar; Barker's just really good. Also, what is he ranked #9 nationally in/as? Because on 247sports' class of 2015 rankings, Sindelar is a 3* right now with a rating of an 85.

I'm pretty sure he was aware. I don't know if you've ever made a big play in your life, but no matter what the score is, it gets you pretty fired up. For example, the Tim Tebow hit vs. UK. UK was down 31-7, about to score again, UK D-Lineman rocks Tebow, gets all fired up.

NCC just needs to improve game in and game out. They have a lot to work on and hopefully they'll be good enough to be in Bowling Green in December. You never know though. Some of you seriously need to just think before posting stuff though. No need to put down other kids or another school, "Don't worry I4C. Plenty of tickets will be available for the 2A State Title Game. The only ones in attendence will be parents and Grandparents of kids playing." The ignorance in your statement above Frank is pretty evident, and it's kind of depressing considering from the seems of it, you've never been to a state title game or you would know better. With all that being said, NCC would need to play a REALLY good game defensively and on the O-Line to win this game. And based on recent performances against CC and Cooper, I don't see that happening yet.

Yes, people are worried about Highlands fans hijacking and going crazy on threads, not worried about the Highlands football team though. That being said, I don't think Highlands should worry right now, they're still top 3-4 in state, and the future still looks bright. Back to the topic as I haven't addressed it yet. I think the state top 3 right now are, BG, Trinity, St X. in no particular order. I think St X. has a very good chance of knocking off Trinity this year.

UC lost almost their entire team. Also the fact when HHS scheduled Elder back in 2011-2012, that was the year Elder was the worst they have been in a while, finishing 3-7. mcpapa does have a point.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Lex Cath and St X. are both better quality wins than UC, Campbell County and Bryan Station... Also sweeper, since you seem to have this elitist attitude as well; If one has a different opinion than you, that does not make them a "Highlands or Trinity hater." See, you shouldn't even have dragged Trinity into the mix either, because the only fan base that's even going nuts over what PP92 is saying are Highlands fans.

They're in 2A in Florida. Being state champs in 2A and being one of the best pretty much implying top 5 or 10 in state is a whole new argument. Most knowledgeable and reasonable posters know that UC supposedly lost A LOT from their squad last year that won a 2A state title in Florida. Like Guru has said before, it was not an impressive win, UC smacked Highlands in the face at the start, but so did Campbell County.

This argument will be settled when Trinity plays St X. If St X. keeps it close or beats Trinity, I definitely think BG would be better. To be honest both sides are really biased, but at the same time the BG side might be a little more informed given they actually have seen Highlands play (on ESPNU), and 99% if not 100% of Highlands fans have yet to see BG play a game..
