Is there anyone that would not like to see Highlands and Bowling Green play...

each other every year?

I would really like to see both Bowling Green and Highlands make it a point to schedule each other every year.

What is stopping this game/series?

BG would win easily. I'd rather see BG and T play.

Come on, man. We're talking Bowling Green here, not some big stud team like Simon Kenton. (Although they both have a win against Highlands.)

Would love it as it would give me a chance to catch a WKU game maybe.

As to what's stopping it, there really hasn't been a call for it until the past couple years when BG elevated their program.

How about this: Play it on a Saturday on a neutral field in Louisville - say, I don't know, at Trinity? Pay to rent the field and let the locals handle the concessions (bonus!), and then split the gate (and Split the Pot!?!?). Pretty, simple, which is why it would never work, as I am sure that I have missed many important details.

Thoughts?

Its about a 4 hour trip from NKY to BG.

So do you play Friday night? If so it forces the visiting team to leave early in the school day. It also requires fans to leave work early.

Do you play Saturday? If its not the first game of the season you run head long into the college schedule. Even if you do - its 8 hours round trip plus game time, plus warm-up, plus allowances for traffic....so you have a 12 - 14 hour day if you do not spend the night.

The logistics for a regular home and home for teams that are 4 hours apart is not easy.

I thought it wasn't anyone's issue but BG's? Don't skip half my dream conference schedule and call it your own 'Ruru.

But yet BG is running away from competition seems to be the sentiment I am getting.

I don't know how this happens, but HHS has an uncanny knack for scheduling powerhouse programs when they're a bit down. Nothing wrong with that at all - it just seems to work out that way.

Wait a couple of years.:sssh:

What in the hell are you talking about? And yes Ru I'd love to see Highlands play BG every year. Games could be played on Saturdays.

UC lost almost their entire team. Also the fact when HHS scheduled Elder back in 2011-2012, that was the year Elder was the worst they have been in a while, finishing 3-7. mcpapa does have a point.

Shame on Dale for agreeing to play Campbell Cty when they are so down as well...:thumb:

Explain playing Cincy St X a few years back, were they down?

Hasn't Highlands played Elder more than a few times over the last 10 years? Have they been down that entire time?
