The biggest high school O-line

Featured Replies

To start with, Raceland's line is almost as big as this line, can't believe this line is that far out of the norm. Secondly, 400 pounds is too much for a football player.

Kid in the picture on the left is just fat...sorry. Kid on the right has some true size to him and isn't just heavy, but a truly big kid. As anyone with any football knowledge knows, however, size is just part of the equation when looking at linemen. Is there strength with that size? Foot speed? Technique? Toughness? Smarts? ALL of these are needed to be a good lineman, not just a big gut and overactive appetite.

Not overly impressed by huge lines as they are often more fat than technique and performance. Still, over six yards per run is pretty strong this far into the season.

Fairview has a really big and good offensive line

Simon Kenton has a big and good O-line they average right under 270 pounds.

I'd take NCC's O-Line in 2010 (Jake Giesler, Jack Gruenschlaeger, Brady Thacker being the main three.) I agree with Ram though, 400 lbs is WAY too much for an O-Lineman, nonetheless even a DT. The 6-6, 320 lb one though looks like he could be really good. Pretty good build for an O-Lineman.

That team had a couple Polynesian last names. W/ their bone structure, you never know how they can move w/ that size. 400lbs is too much, but depending on frame, could be just like a 320 kid w/ smaller bones. I believe anything over 280 is too much for a 17 year-old kid.

Olmstead for SK is right around 320 pounds and only a Junior he is very good.

I'm not saying that they aren't good, I'm saying that I don't find that much weight to be healthy.

Scott is top 3 in state in rushing lead by 4 seniors and 1 junior (RG):

RT-Corey Fitzwater (6'7'', 300lbs.) offers from Western and Miami (OH)

RG-Brendan Sebree (6'2'', 260) Junior captain

C- Nathan Penick (6'1'', 255) strongest physically

LG-Trey Davis (6'4'' 250) Georgetown and Union offered

LT- Cameron Crimm (6'5'', 265) offer from Indiana State, getting attention from some MAC schools

TE- Blake Gay- (6'4'', 245) better Defensively (End) offer from Indiana State

They have a 250 pound fullback also.

I'm just still so happy for Scott and their success. I can now see why they are doing well. Those are the unsung heroes for that team.
